Omni Providence Hotel

When I checked in, the front desk somehow gave my room to someone else. They claimed that a guest with the same surname as mine had arrived the night before and said we were together?! And the other person actually agreed to use their credit card for my deposit? When I explained that I hadn't had a companion arrive a day earlier, they gave me a room key, but when I went to the room, it was already occupied! 😧 We had to go back down to the front desk before they finally gave us an empty room 🙄. As for the room itself, it was clean, but the air conditioning was incredibly noisy. Even after turning it off, I could still hear the loud hum of the air conditioning from the next room. It was also very humid, and I suspect the carpet had been recently cleaned and hadn't dried completely, giving off a musty smell. The only good thing was the location, which is super convenient. There's a skybridge directly to the mall across the street, and the train station is right opposite the mall entrance. The hotel gave us a few drink coupons, which is something, I guess. But I saw all the guests getting drink coupons 😂, so I'm not sure if that was meant to compensate for the mix-up with our room.
