Perfect place for transfer! Location perfect coz just a few minutes walk inside indoor terminal after arrival, simply take the ‘glass’ elevator to -1, and then follow sign to walk short distance indoor with air conditioning to hotel; even easy for carrying super heavy luggage on my own as a lady. Great facilities with indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam, fitness room with good view. It’s the good standard sheraton hotel. Spacious and comfortable room, new and clean, bathroom spacious and convenient, comfortable bed…. Hotel has a nice restaurant with bright view and many hotel guests, or can have simple cafe food, juice, sandwich, yoghurt…. at airport terminal for dinner, coz just 2-3 minute indoor walk. Great value for money, highly recommended!

The location is excellent, just a few meters from the coastal road. The (sportboat) port is only 200 metres away, so you can walk on the sea side to the other end of the place to take the ferry there. The hotel is conducted by two business-made ladies, who made me a stick for a single trip room 140 euros, which was clearly too much. Unfortunately, in open windows, sleep is hardly thought, because in about 30 meters away the freight trains pass, if you have the room to the wrong side. The bathroom was newly made, beautiful tiles and a modern shower. Il Porticciolo must have one of the most beautiful locations of all the lakes of Italy. One whole wall of our very comfortable room overlooked Lake Maggiore and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. We spent a lot of time on our balcony just absorbing the lake and mountains in all of their different moods while the water lapped against the wall directly below us. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the train station, the beautiful town of Laveno-Mombello and the cable car up 1,000m to views that will take your breath away. As well as its superb location, Il Porticciolo has two great restaurants. We have already been in Italy for two months and we would rank the food we were served amongst the very best we have experienced. We found Giovanni and Elisabetta to be great hosts. They were very friendly and looked after us as if we were family. When we arrived the town of Laveno-Mombello was experiencing problems with its gas supplies and Giovanni immediately offered us a free breakfast to compensate for any discomfort. We also enjoyed long conversations with Elisabetta and she drove us to the train station free of charge when we had to catch an early train after our 7 day stay. We would highly recommend Il Porticciolo to you and the great welcome you will receive from Elisabetta and Giovanni.

My third visit and loving it. Great hospitality with friendly staff, nice rooms and tucked in a plush quiet location surrounded by trees and birds chirping in the morning. Very good breakfast. Beats Ibis & Novotel Malpensa anytime.

VERY NICE HOTEL, CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT, WE HAD AN EARLY FLIGHT AND IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT... THE BIG SURPISE WAS THAT BREAKFAST STARTED AT 5.30am, SO HAPPY TO ENJOY OUR BREAKFAST ( A VERY NICE ONE), BEFORE OUR JOURNEY... VERY CLEAN ROOM, COSY AND WARM.... OF COURSE FREE PARKING AND WE DID NOT HAVE TO PAY THE CITY TAX.... GO THERE WHITHOUT HASITATION....

Hôtel charmant dans un cadre ravissant. Personnel souriant et attentionné. Chambre équipée de tout le confort nécessaire, avec de surcroît un joli balcon. Très bon buffet petit-déjeuner. Une petite mésaventure m’est arrivée dans cet hôtel : j’ai malencontreusement oublié dans ma chambre une pochette contenant mes foulards favoris. Lorsque je m’en suis aperçue, j’ai pris contact avec la réception, et mes précieux foulards m’ont été promptement renvoyés. Je remercie tous les membres de l’équipe pour leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme !

Our flight was overbooked and we had to stay in a hotel near by. The hotel staff were excellent, after a very stressful four hours of not being able to board a plane, waiting for our bags to return and having zero communication from the flight company, we needed good people. The staff had held the kitchen for us so we had some food. They recommended ways to get to a different airport so we could get home earlier. Amazing people, very friendly, accommodating and helpful, thank you 🙏
