After our experience in Manila, this place was fantastic. It was affordable, clean and comfortable - but not quite like the pictures. The staff were very nice and let us hang out and look after our baggage well and truely after we had checked out. However be careful, when I booked this the name I was given of the Hotel was Red Doorz, which there are many of and firstly ended up at the wrong hotel

Extremely clean and spacious room. Loved the contemporary design. Almost everything looked really new when we were there. Great breakfast with variety. The staff was really helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel is great and close to everything.

A group of us stayed here the night of arriving in PP before embarking our scuba liveaboard and chose the hotel as it was where the liveaboard company did a town pick up from. Simple accommodation, but clean and functioning. Very spacious rooms - we had 4 girls sharing one room with two double beds. The bathroom/shower was a little tired but I only had one quick shower. A pretty garden surrounding a pool - I didn't end up swimming as it was quite a hot, muggy, grey day and the pool was more warm than refreshing in that moment, but I also only spent about 18 hours total at the hotel so if I was there longer I would definitely have had some pooltime. It was cute watching some local kids have a mermaiding lesson. The restaurant is not set up for large orders so bear that in mind timing wise - it is a one chef kitchen. If you are landing at 7pm or later make sure you request the chef stay if you want dinner on site as they will otherwise leave at 9pm. The chicken & mushroom pasta was good. Breakfast was also good - fruit, pancakes and egg, but only instant coffee. I particularly liked the access to free drinking water refill - there is a cooler in the dining area. The staff were helpful - with the chef staying late for us, helping us call to book some massages down the road at Nuat Thai Spa, helping me get a bowl of rice for lunch when I tried to order when the kitchen was backed up we made a plan B. Location is a bit further down in the quiet end of Manalo St. It isn't far to walk up to the part with restaurants, coffee shops and the spa, but I probably wouldn't have done that walk alone as a female in the dark so I would stay here with a group more than solo. I'm sure it is very safe, but as a general rule of thumb I don't walk alone in the dark down quiet streets. After the liveaboard I stayed in the 'busier' part of Manalo St. Would I stay here again - well if in PP I would probably go to my second hotel as a repeat customer as it was just nicer all around (but also cost double the price). However, Acacia is perfectly adequate for the price point if you are looking for accommodation close to the airport or the boat pier in southern PP at a very reasonable price and it is true to the pictures.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Sm city and is surrounded by residential areas. Most hotels in the Philippines are in residential areas and are relatively backward. There is nothing wrong with it. The rooms are large, the facilities are old and the sanitation is OK. The old-fashioned window machine sounds a bit loud, but there is a ceiling fan, and you can turn off the air conditioner when you sleep. There are some room windows facing the corridor, so when you are booking, you can find a window that Ctrip asks for outward. The only strange thing is that there is no cup, how to gargle? ! It's amazing why it doesn't match the cup. The waiter is less enthusiastic than other hotels, but there is still a demand. Have breakfast. Booking the hotel process feels that Ctrip service is quite good.

The location is good, it's close enough to the airport that it's walkable or it'll be around 50 pesos in a tricycle (expect to pay a bit more with the white tax). There is a mall nearby Robinson's with a good supermarket. Also some good coffeeshops if you need to work. Be sure to bring cash as even places like McDonald's often have issues with card machines There is a nice beach on the East Coast (photos here) as well as the Church of Immaculate Conception which is nice to see while in town.

We stayed at The Funny Lion in Peurto Princesa in April. It was the perfect stay. The resort is new, and is beautiful from the minute you enter the grounds. The room is large with big comfortable beds and everything you need including a large flat screen TV, filtered water, fresh fruit and a quiet air con system. It was immaculately clean. Rooms are serviced daily including a turn down service at 6:30pm. The pool and restaurant are stunning, situated on the beach edge, food in the restaurant is lovely and room price includes a full buffet breakfast. All amazing and cannot be faulted. The most incredible part of our stay however were the staff. Nothing is a problem and they go out of their way to accommodate any requests. We will definitely be back but next time will stay longer. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Puerto Princess had planned a hand nido journey for the day after our flight k.1 We stayed at night and preferred a fersal hotel. I can tell you that there is a very clean and comfortable facility.Rooms are wide and pleasant.From hotel to the city center with tricycle 5 You can reach in a minute. The facility also offers free breakfast.

The place was a little ways out so you gotta have everything you need handy. They can get a tricycle for you but those charge exorbitant prices. We arrived about 30 mins. earlier so it was understandable that the room was still being prepared. But that I had to ask the staff if the room was ready a little past 2PM before they directed us to our room was Strike 1 for me. The family room was large so we enjoyed having our ”own space” within the room. It was also very near the pool (the window by my bed opens to it) so watching the kids was easy. The pool, however, was a real downer when you book the place online and you came for the pool (like what my daughter did). It looked really nice in the picture and the actual pool was, well, a pool; and the chlorine in the water was overwhelming. That was Strike 2. I didn't even bother to go in. Come dinnertime, we ordered our meal. It tasted good BUT they only had one platter of rice ready at such a time! We had to stop and wait for the second platter of rice. Can you imagine having to stop in the middle of your meal because you have to wait for the additional rice, that is a Filipino meal staple by the way. I can let that slide because you can choose to chat with the family and pick on the grilled stuffed squid while waiting. My breakfast platter, however, was a very oily number. I had bacon, eggs and toasted bread (with butter and jam). But we'll let that slide too. Upon checkout, I requested for receipts for our in-house meals. It was my way of verifying the cost of dinner because the amount relayed to me did not add right as opposed to what I computed from the menu when I placed the order and had it charged to the room. I was thinking maybe the additional fees and service charge added up and all that. The lady at the counter took forever (an exaggeration, of course) and was doing a side thing addressing someone who seems to be an employee but not in uniform at the time. A PWD walking with a cane as I am, I reached a point where I could no longer tolerate standing on pretty much one leg so I told her that I will leave my daughter to wait for the receipts while I take a seat at the tricycle they called for us since their van was not around. She was told that we should have given advance notice if we wanted receipts. I'm a bit taken aback because that has always been ready for me in the places I've been too. Don't they automatically prepare receipts for issuance after an order has been served and set for room charge? Those were dinner and breakfast and we checked out at 12nn. They had ample time to prepare it unless they had no intention to issue the receipts. That was definitely Strike 3 for me...and so this review. This may seem like a rant but I really just want the matter addressed. The place has potential but the customer service needs to improve.
