Stayed at Dorsett Putrajaya and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall.
Upon check-in, the first room had a strong unpleasant odour coming from the toilet area, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. We requested a room change, which the hotel did accommodate.
However, in the second room, we discovered that the tap water from the bathroom faucet was yellow in colour when we went to brush our teeth at around 11PM. To make matters worse, the bed sheets also had visible stains, which was unhygienic and unpleasant. Given the late hour, we were too tired to request yet another room change and had no choice but to stay.
On a positive note, the reception staff were helpful and responsive throughout our stay — that was genuinely appreciated.
That said, the hotel itself feels dated and aging, and the hygiene standards appear to need significant improvement.
The room conditions, water quality, and linen cleanliness raised genuine hygiene concerns that should not be acceptable at this level.
We hope the management will take steps to improve the property's upkeep and hygiene, as it has the potential to be a much better experience for future guests.
