The rug was filthy and the bottoms of our feet were black so we had to wear shoes in the room.
We had to pay up front for our 3 nights. If we left early we would not be reimbursed.
It was advertised to have free breakfasts. There was 1 pot of coffee, little muffins and stale cereal, no milk available. The manager/owner was difficult to understand and was very unfriendly. He was always playing on his phone. We had to keep asking for things that should have been provided like a bath mat, clean towels, garbage can liner, etc. No blow dryer or iron, no phone or coffee maker in the room.
The blanket on our bed had cigarette burn holes and the bedding was old and thin.
The microwave and refrigerator were very dirty as well as the walls and bathroom. When I used a hand towel to clean them the owner got mad at me! It was a non smoking room but we had to buy a room fresher.
The worst thing was, there was no smoke detector! The wires had been cut and the detector was hidden. I told him that is a code violation and he could be in a great deal of trouble. He did nothing!
We stayed because he had our money and we couldn’t afford new accommodations. Our hands were tied!
The majority of the rooms were for people who paid by the week or by the month which we weren’t told. They were smoking and drinking outside their rooms. There were only 4 rooms for regular use. It was a nightmare! If he can’t keep up the maintenance of the rooms, he should not be working there!
