I had two rooms booked. One for myself and one for my mother. My daughter requested conjoining rooms and to our luck they had one available. The bell carts at this location are a third of the size of a normal bell cart and took me several trips. The rooms are set up differently than what we are used to.To start, the bathroom has a barn door with no lock. My mother's bathroom door didn't even slide closed because the track was uneven causing the door to be slid across the floor. Second, we thought there was no closet, but later found it behind a curtain near the outside wall. Third, one of the door knobs to the conjoining room fell off everytime you tried to open the door. The doors between the conjoined rooms were dirty on the inside. Fourth, the mini fridge in both rooms did not cool so we had no way to cool our food. To top it off, after I got into my pj's the smoke alarm began to beep. I waited around wondering if I could still sleep with the noise and hoping that maybe it would go away... but it didn't. So, I got dressed and headed to the front desk. The night clerk was unable to find any spare batteries. The only thing they could offer me was to switch rooms. With a brand like Hampton, one would expect the rooms to be in tip-top shape, but that was not what we received. Upon check-out, the manager offered us points as compensation, but because I booked through a thrid party and got a promo on my rooms I could not receive compensation.
