The hotel is clean and tidy; rooms are comfortable and well maintained, breakfast has a great choice of different nationalities, and good quality … that’s where it stops. Generally, service is nearly non-existent. Room service is hit and miss whether a) they will answer, or b) they’ll call back, and they don’t. Next door is a building site in early construction phase. Breaking the concrete starts at 6am, and is continuous for 12hrs … nice alarm clock. Dinner is from 7pm until 11.30pm, but you will be asked to leave at 9pm, as they have a “party” EVERYNIGHT. If you want to stay, you have to pay SAR130 for the privilege. Don’t worry though, you can hear the music in your room quite clearly until midnight. There are no restaurants in walking distance, except for a burger shop, so be prepared to order food deliveries. The hotel was convenient for this trip, but will stay somewhere nearer the financial area, which is cheaper, has more facilities, and restaurants nearby. Honestly …. avoid until the construction ends, and they allow you to spend YOUR money, in THEIR restaurant.
