Wanted to charge more for early check in when the room was ready. Three choices were missing in the breakfast entree. The breakfast crew stopped serving early.No plates or utensils for breakfast. Outlet in bathroom was to far away from the mirror. Check out clerk was not personable.

Bed was a little stiff, but everything else was great. Has a southern breakfast that is amazing.

Very unique lobby. Lots of history to observe. Check-in was easy. Beds & pillows were comfortable. The soaps and shampoos were free of the bad chemicals. It was easy and convenient to get to. The breakfast was very nice as well, many options and very pleasant service. I would stay there again.

The best thing about this hotel, other than the location on the Rock River, is the staff. So friendly and helpful. The full free breakfast was very good. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. I would stay there again on our next family visit.

This was our second time staying and noticed a few renovations to the property as well. Was a comfortable stay, friendly staff, the rooms are huge and comfortable, and pretty quiet overall. Will continue to stay here in the future!

Omg! I LOVED this hotel! I stayed there for business but so wanted to stay another night to just enjoy the property but they were fully booked. In my downtime I just wandered the building admiring the architecture. I would love to stay here again!

Service was good at the property. Breakfast was great. Area around the property is not doing well. Closed stores in the area. This property is being remodeled. The room was freshly painted and the bathroom completely remodeled.

Neighborhood not greatest but no problems. Outside didn’t look all the nice but inside was really nice! Staff was friendly. Morning breakfast was very nice and woman working was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Nice room with view of River.

In a vacant shopping center parking lot. All else was very good, especially the staff.

The front desk staff, while speaking on the phone, and again during our, one night, stay I would say are not very enthusiastic, pleasant, or helpful. The ladies in the breakfast area were so friendly, sweet and engaging. Room was very clean, beds were very comfortable. The pool was under construction and not usable at all. The T.V. channels were not at all satisfying, unless you like infomercials.

We spent one night in Rockford so we could visit Anderson Japanese Gardens. Riverview Inn is older, but has been rehabbed very nicely. The room was comfortable, roomy and clean. The breakfast was good and the dining room attendant was amazingly cheerful and helpful. The Inn is a very interesting place with a lot of cool features from a bygone era. It is right on the Rock River. The employees were all super helpful and friendly. The room temperature was comfortable, not always an easy thing to accomplish in a hotel. We'd stay there again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff. It’s a very unique property. The room was very spacious. Breakfast was not hot, unfortunately, but that was our only issue.

The inside of the hotel is amazing! The outside and surrounding area is abandoned and run down.
