Lalandia Rødby

We had to cancel due to chickenpox and were not given any option for refund, changing dates - they even charged us for the late check out which we will not be using. I understand there is a cancelation policy, but they could easy put the house back for rent - and what is insane is that they don't want to refund the late check out - that for me is really taking advantatge of the situation.

We had a terrible experience at Lalandia as we found a dead house in the apar**ent we paid for. The house was not handed over to us in an impeccable state, and the resort didn’t claim any responsibility which we found shocking as we have 3 young children, including a two months old for whom the potential risks to their health is huge. We told the resort that mice fecces and saliva can spread bacteria, contaminate food and give allergic reactions. It is commonly known that their fecal matters can even be lethal to humans and all the more small kids and babies. It’s not because it didn’t happen that the resort should be exempted from their responsibility vis a vis their guests and it proves that the cleaning services we paid for was not provided. At last, barring these health considerations, it was our kids who found the dead animal and had a big scare- the most worrying was that they could have placed it in their mouth or play with it if we hadn’t been vigilant. All of this was simply disregarded by the hotel, as their email states. I find it so shocking that I am sharing their appalling response with the travel community. Watch out, they’re after the money and customer satisfaction is clearly not their values. They claimed the mouse was found during check out, for all I know one minute before check out or one minute after check in is the same: we paid during this timeframe. End of story. First of all, thank you for visiting us and also thank you for writing to us with your experiences. We really appreciate this because it is with our guests' eyes and ears that we can see and hear best what it is like to visit us. I am of course very sorry to read that you had an uninvited guest visiting the holiday home. However, I'm pleased that you were not disturbed by the mouse during your vacation since you only found it just before departure and it was dead. I have, of course, asked my sweet colleagues in the technical depar**ent to check the house and set up traps so we can hopefully ensure that there are no other mice in the house. It may happen that there are e.g. flies, ants, mosquitoes, swallows and not least also mice, and of course we do everything we can to let the nature and the animals in it know that they should not move inside, but unfortunately it does not always succeed. My sweet colleagues in the technical depar**ent always make a persevering preventive effort, but it still happens once in a while that a mouse find a way inside, and unfortunately we can not completely avoid this, when the holiday homes are located in nature and close to fields. Therefore - and also because you only discovered the mouse just before departure, and it didn't disturb you during your stay - we can't fulfill your request for compensation/refund. I hope that you despite the mouse had a wonderful stay and that we get the pleasure of welcoming you here again another time for a stay completely without uninvited guests. Best regards, Jeanne

We spent 2 days in Copenhagen before hiring a car and driving 2 hours to Lalandia in Rodby. After previously visiting Lalandia in Billund, I was a little disappointed in the accommodation at Rodby as it was very dated. After spending a fortune in Copenhagen we wanted to cook, during our 5 days here, but the cooking facilities weren't great. We had 2 hobs and a portable oven/microwave but it was very small and took a very long time to cook anything (almost an hour for 1 pizza). My kids loved the aquadome and ice skating and I would highly recommend purchasing a gold wrist band before arriving, to cover all activities. We did this at Billund but left it too late at Rodby and it would have saved us a lot of money. There is a small Aldi a 5 min drive away and a Rema 1000 supermarket a little further away, which we found had much more choose than the Aldi. Despite the negatives about the cooking facilities, we had a really good time here and would return if we were able to upgrade accomodation.

Dirty cabins. Ants everywhere. Had to check out one day early because kids couldnt sleep among the ants. Lallandia didnt feel like sending the money for the last night back. Which kind off shows how they treat the guests. We wont go back. However I can warmly recommend Weissenhauser strand or Het Meerdal. We just went on a eurotrip and funny enough Lallandia Rödby was the worst place on the trip.

The absolute worst accommodation I have ever experienced. Wooden cabins full of dust and dirt, old mattresses full of dust and never cleaned, lots of ants all over the cabin, couldn't get rid of them. The upper floor is climbed by a very steep ladder, absolutely unsuitable for the safety of children. No beds upstairs, only mattresses on the floor. Stale air. Nevermore.

We have been here many times but this was the most expensive house and the worst. L163 is lacking everything from cleanliness to pans. Unfortunately lalandia Rødby, has no more recommendations from us. We will not be back.

Not as big and exciting as Lalandia in Billund and also the facilities seems old. Lots of crowd on the weekend even in November. House was small and little work out. If possible go to Lalandia in Billund instead.

Great experience, the kids loved it and there was loads to do. Thought it was quite reasonably priced as well. However, what set this place apart was the staff that went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. This was especially true in the aquadome. We’re a family of 5 and we have a disabled son. The team there did everything they could to ensure that everything was accessible to us. They even helped carry the rings up the stairs for the big rides so that they we could get our son up the stairs for the ride. Our sincere thanks go to everyone there.

Had the pleasure to stay half a day visiting my daughter and grand children. The different vacation houses for rent er spread over a large area. Lalandia mainly consists of kind of a indoor water-fun-land, with three large indoor pools with four body slides (in different sizes) and a wild river. One of the pools, the Wave Pool, boasts waves once an hour, but it was not turned on during my visit. The pool area or playground are packed with people and is difficult to swim or play just an square meter. Other activities could mention soccer, indoor skating, miniature golf, badminton, tennis and other sport activities. But It is expensive to do other than swim and play in Monkey Tonkey country. And it seems to be too busy and crowded. The resort offers a range of dining options, but from my point of view it did not look cosy at all. I didn’t like long lines at restaurants. Very nosy and too many children and adults. It is established back in 1988 therefor the Aquadome is a bit old and seems tired and worn out. All in all there are too many in too little space. Too noisy. Too commercial. But I think the children enjoyed it very much.
