Good affordable hotel with a great outlook from the balcony. Friendly staff and spacious room

Rooms were incredibly small and very dated, very noisy and right next to a busy highway the breakfast was a joke, it was in the office that was very small and was called "a cold breakfast" I did not even go in Mabey they had coffee I don't know. The only thing that was nice was the view out of the back, but it did not make up for the crappy bed and rock hard pillows and the noise when you wanted to sleep.

We had a 2nd floor room with a view overlooking the garden and the river which made for a very pleasant happy hour on the deck after a day’s travelling. A ten minute walk to downtown provided several options for an evening meal. Our only negative would be that the breakfast was limited and the breakfast room very small making it really necessary to take breakfast back to your room. Trays available to do so would have been a help.

The actual room was on par for a two star rating. However, there is a large homeless camp right next to the hotel. From the room, the noise from nearby traffic is excessive. Additionally, you can hear the people in the room next to you as though they were right there with you in your own room.

Super friendly staff. Older hotel made nice and just a bit funky, retaining a bit of a mid century modern-ish vibe. Great place to stay!

My room was clean, and comfy. Everything was like it should have been. I liked their outdoor area by the river. I didn't realize that there were rooms facing the river with balconies. I was cold and rainy when i was there, so I didn't get to check out much.
