An urban hotel with a small town feel. Easily located hotel right off of Woodward Avenue and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. A short car ride from the trendy towns of Ferndale and Royal Oak. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. This will be my place to stay when I am in the Detroit area.

Customer and security is a complete disaster at this location. Heating unit malfunctioned and although we were provided another room we came back later in the evening and found our room door wide open. We had to leave and go to another hotel

My state was fine. Not exceptional, but just good enough. I was there for three nights and I made sure to leave my do not disturb sign off my door when I went out but my room was not cleaned and towels were not resupplied on any of those three days that I was there. Staff was very nice and helpful.

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. Our room was brand newly decorated and so clean and spacious. Beds and pillows were super comfy. The bathroom has a wonderful mirror with great lighting for putting on makeup. Most of the toiletries are name brand Dove. The only weird thing was no body lotion. But I brought my own. The free breakfast is really decent, with lots of filling and healthy options. The location was perfect for us. Last time I stayed at one of the expensive hotels in Birmingham that are twice the price. I actually liked this better, more spacious, practical and relaxing!

We were in an emergency situation from an ice storm and no electricity in our area for 5 days - the staff member was really not helpful or showing compassion.
