My friend and I booked this hotel last minute and regretted it. Several, issues On checking in we were told we would be in one of the lodges. This turned out to be a very small room with the only storage being two plastic hangers on the back of the door, Website claims a complimentary breakfast is offered. We were told our rate was room only. If we wanted complimentary breakfast, the room would cost another £28. The breakfast costs £14pp to buy, so it is not complimentary. Bathroom had the smallest wash hand basin I've ever seen with only a cold tap. If you wanted to wash your hands in hot water after using the bathroom you had to use the kitchen sink! The tea station was under the wall mounted TV which, when the kettle boiled, meant steam was going up onto TV. The hair dryer was attached to the wall next to tea station with loose teabags. So when drying hair, there was every chance hairs could find their way into teabags. Everywhere you looked were notices telling guests what not to do e.g. no food prep or cooking. There were no facilities to do either anyway1 We decided to eat in the hotel, only to find food was served in a narrow, dingy public bar. We were charged £31.15 for one cheap frozen pizza,2 portions of chips at £5.95 each and 2 soft drinks. Chips were advertised as hand cut but were again cheap frozen chips. The food was awful and extortionate. We decided to cut our losses and left a day early. We went to advise staff of this only to find door to hotel and reception securely shut and locked. We paid £465 for 3 nights room only and I can't believe what we got for ir. My advice is find somewhere else to stay.
