When you book a room at this hotel (which I did, for my children and myself), they will send you an email warning you that reception closes at midday. DO NOT IGNORE THIS. We drove to Rust (for the Rulantica water park), got caught up in huge roadworks on the Autobahn, and, when we finally arrived at the entrance to Rulantica, it said we were still 2km from Hotel Arndt, so I decided to park in Rulantica for the day, check-in later, and, out of courtesy, I emailed the hotel to let them know. Bad mistake. If you don't check-in before midday, you will receive an email from them saying that you can no longer check-in. Game over. No refund, no nothing. Again.... this WAS my fault, they HAD emailed me when I made my booking to say reception closed at midday, but in a multi-hotel trip as a single-father, this hadn't sunk in, and as a result, I paid 150 CHF for a hotel that we were not allowed to check in to. And no chance of a refund. My kids were in tears. And we had to drive back home instead. You've been warned. I still don't know why the hotel claims that it's a 5 minute walk from Rulantica, given that, according to Google Maps, even "as the crow flies", it's 1.2km from the entrance to the water-park. We actually parked in the Rulantica car park, and WE had to walk 5 minutes to get to the entrance.

Das Zimmer ist ok, für einen längeren Aufenthalt einfach zu klein. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sensationell, da gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Die Lage ist super, nahe zum Park, zentral gelegen, Hinterhof sicherlich schön im Sommer Nicht gefallen · Frau Arndt ist wirklich zuvorkommend, ausser es geht um die Parkmöglichkeit, dann ändert die Stimmung schlagartig. Die Garagen sind mit Lift auf 2000kg beschränkt. Per Augenmass entscheidet sie, ob das Auto passt oder nicht. Fakten (Wagenpapiere) interessieren sie nicht. Laut ihrer Aussage sind im Leergewicht (deutlich unter 2t) Sitze und Lenkrad noch nicht inkludiert. Sie verweigert einem den Parkplatz beim Haus. Tagsüber kann man das Auto beim Europapark abstellen, über Nacht parkt man dann im Dorf Rust in der blauen Zone. Ab 08.00 Uhr heisst das dann ständig neu suchen und umparken. Im Sommer sicher ok, aber im Winter, wenn der Park erst um 11.00 Uhr öffnet, ist das doch eher eine Schikane. Noch mehr, wenn man gar nicht in den Park gehen möchte.

A 10 min en voiture de rulantica et 5 min d’europapark. En plus la personne présente à la réception lors de la remise des clefs donne un ticket pour le parking des 2 parcs. Chambre spacieuse et bien adaptée pour 4 personnes. Linge de lit et de toilette propre mais vieillissant. Possibilité de se garer dans la rue. Endroit calme et propre. Le personnel ne parle pas français mais fait des efforts pour qu on se comprenne (anglais). Petit déjeuner copieux. A recommander surtout par rapport au prix d une chambre dans le parc.
