We stayed at Neuhaus for a week as a ski party of four. All staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel's facilities are very good. Its central location within easy walking distance of three lifts make it a good location, and a boot room with secure, room specific lockers avoided the usual morning 'melee' to find skis etc. Its central location does, though, mean that there's a lot of noise from late night revellers into the early hours. Deliveries from 5.30am onwards also means a lot of noise under some room windows, so be sure to discuss room allocation! Though it didn't affect us, there's a basement club too which I heard some guests complaining about noise penetrating their room and exploring a room change. The spa facilities are excellent, though it was disappointing to see few people respecting custom when using the sauna/steam room etc. despite repeated signage from the hotel management and messaging in the daily news sheet on breakfast tables. One must respect individual modesty, I suppose? Though the range of breakfast foods was excellent throughout, our collective disappointment was with the inconsistent standard of dining service each evening. There were clearly insufficient staff to cover three busy dining rooms, with our own assigned waiter/server easily distracted each evening by bigger groups who were spending more money on wine etc. Twice, our table was only half-cleared with dirty plates being left on the table for over half an hour until we had to signal for him to remove them. Consequently, and exceptionally, we did not leave a tip which is most unusual for our party. Would we stay again? Possibly, but we would hope for a better evening dining experience, and quieter rooms.
