Séjour de 2 nuits, pour travailler. Personnels très aimables, serviables, souriants, disponibles en restant discret. La chambre très calme, idéal pour travailler avec un wifi au top. Places de parking gratuit. Borne de commande restauration très variés (paiement espèce, cb etc….). Machine à café. Je recommande et y retourne avec plaisir dans 2 semaines. My Uber was driving around in ever decreasing circles as we couldn't find this hotel. But then La Defense is pretty impenetrable by car so I shouldn't have been surprised. Finally made it to reception to be greeted by a lot of smiling faces and the news that my room had been upgraded. The room itself (I had no idea what it had been upgraded from) was great - big double bed, plenty of space, soft towels. I tried the TV but there were only the usual channels. It would be nice (and perhaps expected in an hotel like this) to have a smart TV so I could login to my accounts but no. I had a fantastic caesar salad for dinner via room service, although the ordering method was slightly convoluted (via an app which you needed to scroll through to find the right bit - sounds straightforward but it wasn't completely). The bed was really comfortable and no noise from outside. In the morning the shower was powerful and hot and easy to use (not always the case first go). So friendly staff, nice room, good food, and tip-top shower - that's really all you want or need from a hotel.

Located at less than 500 metres walking from the entrance of the Palace of Versailles, and with a nice selection of restaurants just around the corner, this hotel could not be better located. In addition to its central location, the hotel is also in a quiet street. The room I stayed in was fairly small, but more than enough for my needs. The bathroom was well arranged, be it that the opening to get in and out of the shower was a bit on the narrow side. The bed was very comfortable and ideal for resting after a day long of exploring the Versailles gardens. The only thing ”missing” in the room was an air-conditioning system, but this was compensated by a sturdy ventilator fan. Breakfast was as expected and well stocked with a good selection of fruit juices. The cherry on top of the cake, however, is the staff. People at the reception were all very friendly and helpful and make their guests feel right at home. They even lent me a cable to charge my phone after I lost mine. I definitely recommend this lovely little hotel, and will stay there again the next time I visit Versailles.

Spent one night here last weekend, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. We arrived earlier than the 3pm check in time, but were able to leave our luggage whilst we went for lunch which was handy. We were in room 41 on the second floor - the room was nicely decorated and a reasonable size, with a large and comfy bed and free tea and coffee making facilities. In the lobby there were also some pastries we could help ourselves to which was a thoughtful touch. There was no air con in the room, but there were 2 large fans and we could open the window which helped a bit as it was hot during our visit. On the next street (Rue de Satory) there was a good choice of restaurants and a couple of bars. We stayed on a Sunday night which meant some places were closed, but we had no problem getting a meal and a few drinks.

The room was clean and tidy, but it was quiet, but the facilities were much less than domestic hotels (mostly in foreign hotels), the only thing that satisfied me was the water heater. The hotel is on the mountain. If you want to exercise, you can walk. Google Maps is trustworthy. Sometimes the road you are looking for is too remote. There is a 7 bus stop not far from the hotel, a total of 4 stops, the end point is near the Orsay Railway Station, it is convenient, but the late bus is only around 7:30. Breakfast needs extra extra, 12 euros a day, the taste is OK, hot cocoa is quite good.

Novotel Orly I have been lax in writing reviews lately, and never imagined writing one for an airport hotel, but this place is definitely worth the effort. I had an early morning flight out of Orly and decided to stay at the airport rather than schlep in from Paris on a Monday morning. My check-in was quick and easy and they allowed me early access to my room, which are well designed, modern, clean and comfortable, including the bathroom. Public spaces are very warm and informal (not the usual cold reception desk in a sterile lobby) with well thought out colours and textures in a variety of seating areas and a bar that served snacks also. Also a place for kids to play video games and board games. Even a small library of interesting books. Now the real surprise was the restaurant. The baked filet of sea bass dish I had was worthy of a 5-star restaurant in terms of taste and presentation. The bread was warm, the butter soft, a sommelier brought out the wine and the creme brûlée among the finest. The dining room was warm and intimate, and I had a lovely waitress attend to me. There was a buffet breakfast offered and take away food ready at 5am. Once at Orly you are somewhat isolated as you cannot get access to the terminals without a boarding pass. There is a Franprix close to the hotel that will open soon apparently as well as proposed business park in the Couer d’Orly area of the airport. The Novotel is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon/evening with a very pleasant and accommodating staff. Not one complaint whatsoever.
