Great location. Ample on site car parking. A heated outdoor pool. OK in need of some maintenance but just so welcome. Open early to late. Very helpful staff. Bedrooms are comfortable with all the usual features. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Only two downsides. Firstly the lack of a residents lounge - yes you can use the bar area but that is less than cosy. Secondly although the hotel offers dinner on Weekdays the limited menu is set for the month and frankly the choice is poor. With a bit of thought the hotel could become a destination for meals for locals and guests. The pubs offering good food well cooked were rammed so at this time of the year there is plenty of demand. Special shout out for the reception staff. Friendly and helpful with great knowledge of what the area offered the visitor.

Swimming pool was very cold, we spent less than 5 minutes in the water it was very disappointing. (Cant comment on other spa amenities as were closed covid-19 problems) Breakfast was great and the spacing of seating was good it made us feel comfortable and safe. Evening restaurant was too brightly lit and felt very uncomfortable, not the kind evening setting we were expecting (maybe our own issue) however we ordered dinner to the room and were really happy with the prompt arrival of our food and the quality. Great location and great setting, would recommend and revisit in the summer.

Stayed 3 nites here and can’t speak highly enough of the hotel & the staff. The hotel is so clean everywhere & has got everything you need. Rooms big & really comfortable, plus one of the best showers I’ve ever had. The bar & restaurant areas are great with a superb choice of drinks and food, we ate and drank here every day. But the thing that stands out are the staff, they can’t do enough for everyone who stays & they make everyone feel like home from home! Special mention for Ethan, Gavin & Sammy who were absolutely brilliant!! Keep up the great work everyone and see you soon.

Fantastic 1st holiday with our 19 month old!! Van was immaculate and comfy swimming pool was clean and not overly busy which was great for the little one to splash around and the older 2 (16 and 13) to have a bit of rougher fun up the other end. Sea view from the van I'll certainly miss waking up to. Not too much noise from the neighbours and we even had a friendly Rook greet us every morning. Entertaining the kids is always difficult given their ages and age gap but it was easy here. While little one was running around saying hi to everyone in the club the other boys were either in the sports court or in the arcade. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much of a bother for them. Looe is a short drive away and pleanty to do there. Will be coming back year after year now!!

The receptionist was not very friendly. On entering the room there was a distinct smell of poo. As the heater was left on it was very hot so we turned that off and opened the window. Having to leave window open by night we we're woken up a couple of times by traffic. The stairwell was dark, understandable by night but day time too? The beverage tray on reception was running low but topped up by request. The room needs updating and painting. Quite clean but just outdated. 3 towels between 2 adults. Bathroom floor was squeaky and uneven. Bed was quite comfy but no way was it a king-size as advertised. Holes in quilt cover. Only big bonus was pub next door although their online prices differ to prices on the menu in the pub. The pub staff very polite and friendly and chef was allergen aware. Served a purpose, just a shame some other guests did not know how to close their doors quietly.

I would give five stars but for one thing which I'll come too. This is a great stop over for when travelling long journeys to reach this area of Cornwall. I visited family for one day and rather than driving back home stayed a night here. Room was big, clean and quiet. Bathroom was spotless and I had a great night sleep. The staff from check in to check out were wonderful and helpful. I had dinner and it was good and delivered hot. I also had breakfast. But both dinner and breakfast although good, didn't have quite what you get offered when staying at Premier Inn's. However, the biggest issue for me is the fact you have to pay to park. This should be waived. I mean how else are you supposed to get there. It may not be the hotel charging but it's pure greed.
