Do not expect luxury and glamour. But be ready for a warm-hearted welcome from a very friendly and spontaneous young lady. She goes out of her way to please you, and that is whilst being her own self. The rooms have been slightly refurbished since our last stay before corona. They remain basic, but adequate, and clean enough to comply with basic hygiene. The food is great and an absolute exception at these prices. (Although we heard that there are two cooks, and one does not seem to reach the same level that we have enjoyed.) During this trip we have found out that almost every place now adapts to 19º C for heating. Not here however, the restaurant and bar is probably a nice 22ºC. Very welcome at this time a year. I cannot vouch for other positive reactions about this place, but ours is absolutely genuine and without bias. All in all, one should realise that all has a price in life. This is a cheap place and they do their best to please you. If you cannot handle a little tackyness here and there, I suggest you pay twice or three times the price of what they charge here and your criticism will be viable. In the mean time, may I suggest to allow these people some slack. They try to get by in a sector that has been hit hard from Corona and now the energy crisis that has spread all over Europe. All in all, I like the authenticity of the place and the personal and friendly attitude of the lady attending the place. We - again- have had a nice stay and a positive experience.

I don't understand why people don't think this is a good hotel. First look at the price. Dirt cheap. Good and friendly reception. Clean room with clean bath and toilet. Rooms are old, but a reasonable renovation has been done anyway. Evening meal 3 courses super tasty. Breakfast also very good, everything you need is available, delicious croissants. 5 course menu, even better, good wines at first fair price. Cook knows his trade. We had room 2. Close window for noise. We had a festival at the Cathedral the first night. T****th night quiet. Beautiful nature. The weekend couldn't go wrong. So try I would say.

We came for 2 days via Groupon with a 3 and 5 course menu from July 29 to 31, for the price, no complaints. We know that we are not going to a 4-star hotel. We don't even have a night in a 4 star hotel for the Groupon price. Classic 3-course menu, country pâté, tarragon chicken and pana cotta, everything was excellent. The 5 courses, Ardennes ham, red mullet, sorbet, duck breast and Brazilian ice cream, again everything was excellent. Of course, we're not in a gourmet restaurant. The waitresses are friendly, the boss too, service can be a little slow if you have to find something negative. The room, number 34, very clean, perhaps it was renovated recently given the comments seen on this site. Everything is functional even if we see that some things are quite dated but the mattress is comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast, not a huge choice but in general it's a hotel where you don't stay for a week so even if you eat the same thing twice, it's not a problem. In summary, we had a pleasant stay and I don't think the establishment deserves so many negative reviews.

What an exceptionally depressing place, and what EXTREMELY bad food! The environment and space to eat is so gloomy and dirty that large spiders walked on the floor with tufts of dust. The music is even more pleasant at a cremation, really terrible. We ordered a vegetable soup and a carpaccio. The wait was extremely long. The so-called soup was no more than a completely tasteless bowl with warm gray water and a handful of frozen vegetable cubes. Half of that has gone back. Just when my husband said "well they can't ruin much about the carpaccio, the carpaccio came .. and yes there is definitely something to ruin. This was probably out of date, or from the frozen and thawed (it was sort of frozen cold) but the worst part was that it smelled foul (near its expiration date) I have a protruding nose, and it was not safe to eat, also had dark edges on it , some grated carrot on top .. scandalous!! So both plates went back untouched. Did we want a new one? Well no thanks !!! Seems genuinely dangerous to consume this. Luckily we didn't have to pay for this one, and honestly. .the waitress didn't look at all surprised when we said it wasn't fresh. In short for your own safety..don't eat with these people what bad!!!

old hotel, no longer maintained, many dust nests everywhere, very dirty duvet, loose curtains. Good evening meal and scarce breakfast. Cheap indeed, but...it could be a bit more. central location.

was a great drama, ingenuity, dirty and dirty. mattress where the resoirs came out when you lay down on it. outdated bathroom, when using shower head, the water spewed in all directions through the gut. the breakfast was passable, but nothing special. had the first day a three course menu, the second day a 5 course menu. the first day in the menu chicken fillet in tarragon sauce, no taste at all, sauce warmed up. the 2nd day the 5 courses done in 1.5 hours and not to eat. small piece of curled fish as a starter and duck for main course, was not to eat what all four of us have not done. a true nightmare, would NEVER be approved in Flanders by the food agency and fire protection, let alone by public health. sorry, two days back home and still not recovered

We konden in meerdere talen communiceren.
