The boat has rooms of various sizes including a central "meeting" room with a fabulous fireplace and lots of chairs where you can have a great chat with friends and acquaintances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean. I would very much like to go there again in the future.

First of all this is not the same owner that is in the video! She had us and another couple wait for over 30 minutes to check in while she was on the phone! There was crap all over the entry area. She didn't even tell us where or how to get to our room! When I knocked back on her door she wouldn't answer. We went out to eat and got back to our room and we found live spiders everywhere. One in the head board, another in a web right above the bed and a huge one on the air conditioner. We called her to tell her we were leaving without staying and that's the last we have heard from her. She won't answer her phone or text messages. Trying to get our money back. The parking area is not a safe place to be after dark either!!! We have stayed in a LOT of B&B's and this was the worst one ever. DO NOT STAY HERE! It's not anything like the pictures!!!!

Looks like a cute place, but never got to actually stay. Owner doesn't have the best business skills. Does not manage/block off reservations nor follow-up appropriately. Attempted to call and voicemail box full. Wanted to stay here for an anniversary. Booked a Saturday night online the week of, and payment promptly accepted via paypal. Generic email received confirming reservation. Day of stay drove 1.5 hours to arrive at location with note with multiple phone numbers to call. Attempted multiple times to call with no one answering phone and unable to leave voicemails. Waited around for an hour almost missing later plans (looked like other couples did the same thing). Finally after giving up staying here received a call from owner at 7 pm stating she "didn't know how the rooms were booked as they should have been blocked off, she was out of town and phone on airplane mode, and the friend watching the BNB had an emergency to attend to" She was polite and allowed me to express frustration and offered to allow us to stay that night and would discount a future stay". I was too exhausted to be angry and decided to just drive the hour and a half back home that night. She agreed to refund me. It is 2.5 weeks later and no refund. Attempted to call and voicemail still full. It looks cute, but this woman doesn't know how to run a business. I hope I can get my refund, but I am quickly loosing hope in the issue being properly resolved.

We had a Great Girls night at The Covington Inn B&B. We rented the Pilot Suite which had a bedroom with a Fireplace and also a room upstairs with a pull out couch and a table and was surrounded by windows which was great because you could see alot of the Mississippi River, it also had a Deck you could go outside if you wanted to but it is Winter LOL. Liz the owner was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed also her boyfriend the Host was awe too. Didn't make much difference that it is winter it was still very fun. I would Highly recommend going to The Covington Inn for a evening for a night away you won't regret it.

Do NOT stay here. Could be a great find but new ownership is going to ruin this inn. Where to start. Had to call 3 times for access and then no greeting or any information about where rooms were or details about breakfast. Cobwebs everywhere in the rooms and even in shower. The entire place is filthy. Owner does not care about service at all. Asked for coffee in the morning and she never made a pot and just disappeared. Worst accomodation ever. This boat-el is not for you.

The new owner Kayla was terrific. Such a truly unique and special experience to stay on the Mississippi River. The Captains Quarters were comfortable, clean and toasty with our own fireplace. Even at -10 in St Paul! Our French toast was delicious. We felt so welcomed. Thank you.

We booked the Covington for our 40th anniversary celebration. It was especially meaningful to me because I had actually worked on the boat for about a year way back in 1971 before beginning college and I was very much looking forward to revisiting the boat. The entryway was absolutely filthy and because we arrived early we sat down and had time to observe the conditions of the boat and surroundings. The runner mat in front of the entry door looked like it had never been cleaned in years and there were dead bugs and cobwebs in the corners. Empty water bottles were stacked up next to the entry door, and there was a stench from the river. There was a snow shovel sitting out, and a Chris**as decoration was still hanging, obviously not for decoration, but because of apathy. The entry plants that had looked so good in the two-year-old website photographs were half dead with a discarded can thrown in . It was very obvious that the photographs and most of the reviews were taken prior to the new owners taking over. I think that the new owners have no clue as to how to run a business, much less a bed-and-breakfast. Even though we spent a considerable sum in getting to Minneapolis, (we are from Florida) and the fact that I had worked on the boat, I was extremely disappointed so we called the owner and canceled our reservation. If this is the way that, the entrance to the B&B looked, I didn’t even want to trust the inside.

This place had a good reputation before the current young couple took over. We booked not knowing it was under new ownership. It is now a dump and the young couple seem to not have a clue as how to run a B&B.
