Tateshina Tokyu Hotel

I stayed at the cottage (Fourth) during Golden Week in May. The cottage seems to have been built many years ago, but it was cleaned and renovated, so I had a comfortable stay. There is a stream flowing in front of you, so you can enjoy nature. Even if the room is a little noisy, you don't have to worry, and it will be a good memory, especially for those with children. The cottage is a little far from the main building and the building with the large bath. It didn't bother me because the weather was good, but it may be a bit of a hassle when it rains. Since I stayed in the building at the front of the cottages, the large bath was actually closer than the main building, so it was convenient. The large bath is small for the number of guests at peak times such as holidays, but the quality of the spring is good and I think it is not too bad. For meals, we had Western food for dinner and Japanese or Western food for breakfast, each person could choose. Dinner was a standard course, but it was delicious. Perhaps because of the holidays, it was a little hectic and orders were not always properly received, but if that was improved, I think satisfaction would increase. The young staff worked hard and I had a good impression. The grounds of Tokyu Tateshina Resort are spacious, filled with greenery, and the negative ions are soothing. It is a historic hotel, but I hope it will continue to be well-maintained and become a resort that will last for a long time. It was a resort hotel that I would like to visit again.

The room was spacious and clean. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese or Western food. The open-air bath is about a 5-minute walk from the main building, but it was spacious and nice.

The environment and facilities were great, but the bed was so hard I couldn't sleep.

On a sunny day during the rainy season, my wife, my wife's friend, and her family used it. The view of the Karamatsu forest and the pond from the room was wonderful. I had French food for dinner. It was delicious. For breakfast, you could choose Western or Japanese food. Salads, fruits, and drinks are served buffet style. There is a large public bath outside the building. This is a simple weak alkaline spring. My skin has become smooth. There are cottages nearby, vacation rentals, tennis courts, restaurants, field athletics, trekking courses, and more.

You can enjoy lunch in the fireplace lounge. I don't think most people know that this high-class resort hotel has tempura donburi, but it's a lunch made by Tokyu Hotel, so it's something you'd expect. We owners sometimes eat our own lunch here. We also recommend it to tourists. I think the fireplace enhances the highland resort a**osphere. You can just have coffee here, but I recommend you try the food as well. It's also nice to relax while looking at the larch forest outside the window.

I visited again now that the coronavirus pandemic has subsided. The view through the window from the stately room was spectacular during the autumn leaves, but it also has a picturesque feel even in early spring. The interior is spacious and has ample storage, making it ideal for multiple nights (however, please be sure to clean bay windows and other areas that cannot be seen). Dinner (French) in a calm dining room is traditional, with no unusual ingredients. I also felt comfortable and at the right distance from the staff (I am especially grateful to the guide who gave me information about the cherry blossoms in Takato). On the other hand, it's a shame that you have to go outside (2-3 minutes walk) to another facility to soak in the hot springs (which are wonderful and moisturize your skin). The overall a**osphere is profound and calm, and you will forget the passage of time just by strolling through the garden or sitting in the large chair in the room and looking outside. Thanks to you, I was able to relax very much.

You can eat lunch in the lounge with a large fireplace at Tokyu Hotel, a luxury hotel in Tateshina. It's amazing that you can eat a full-fledged lunch, including curry and tempura bowls. We also got a 10% discount, so we were very happy!
