"We checked in on January 28th for three nights and booked three rooms, two of which included breakfast. However, the hotel front desk only left an elderly waiter who did not speak English after 9pm, which caused great inconvenience in communication. The most unsatisfactory thing was that on the morning of check-out, the front desk insisted that none of our rooms included breakfast and asked for an additional 15,000 yen breakfast fee. In desperation, we asked a driver who had lived in Japan for 20 years to come and communicate in Japanese, but the attitude of the front desk was very bad, and he directly said, "You just don't have breakfast, pay up quickly, don't make trouble." Such an attitude, even when facing a driver who has lived in Japan for a long time and speaks fluent Japanese, does not take objective facts into consideration. In the end, we negotiated for an hour to clarify the misunderstanding, and the hotel returned the extra money to us. This experience is really disappointing, especially when traveling during the New Year. It is really bad and disgusting to encounter such a service attitude. It is worth mentioning that the hotel facilities, hot springs and rooms themselves are very good, but the service attitude of the front desk is really disappointing. Another typical example is that one night I forgot to bring my room card, and went to the front desk to request a replacement, saying that I would return it after finding the original card. But the elderly waiter at the front desk refused to give me the room card and insisted on going upstairs with us in person and returning it to us after we found the card in the room. He even acted impatient and said that he was busy and asked us not to disturb him. Overall, the hardware conditions of this hotel are good, but the service quality of the front desk is extremely poor. If you pay more attention to the service experience, it is recommended to consider it carefully."

"It was a pension located in a very quiet forest. The couple's thoughtfulness and the wife's smile were lovely. The welcome drink and cake were very nice and warming. I was surprised that there was no air conditioning in the room even though it was summer, but it was really cool and I slept comfortably. The room had an antique feel and the lighting was cute, and the massage chair in the shared bath was very comfortable. It's a fond memory. Thank you."

Located in Nagano Prefecture, Tateshina in November is noticeably chilly, but the crisp, fresh air and beautiful clear skies made it an exceptional experience. The Tokyu Harvest Club Tateshina is not only appealing because of its stunning natural surroundings but also thanks to the warm and attentive service provided by the local staff. "It was our first visit, and we were really looking forward to it, especially since we had upgraded to the ultimate French full course meal! The room was just average, but there was a lot of hair on the floor and it wasn't cleaned properly, so my wife had to borrow a lint roller from the front desk and clean it up! The meal we were looking forward to was terrible, and nothing tasted good! Moreover, the scales on the grilled sea bream weren't cooked and it smelled fishy and was inedible! For dessert, we had cheap frozen cake... Dinner on the second day was even worse, the peperoncino had a sour smell and was clearly spoiled! The staff checked it and took it back to the kitchen, but the chef claimed it smelled like chili peppers and brought us penne from the buffet instead! The fish dish was pan-seared rockfish, but this also smelled fishy... or rather, it was starting to spoil? The scales were still on, there was no sign of it being cooked, it looked like it had just been put in a low-temperature oven and was inedible, so when we pointed that out, they took it away! We waited to see if they would remake it, but there was no word from them!! They don't understand the meaning of pan-seared! Afterwards, my wife got an upset stomach, and I had stomach pains and was taken to the emergency room... food poisoning! The manager only apologized and said he would pass the complaint on to headquarters, but I haven't heard anything since, and they still charged me the full price. Charging over 30,000 yen per person per night for this kind of service is unacceptable. I sincerely hope no one else becomes a victim."

"I stayed here for one night in September. It is one of the hotels in Tokyu Resort, and the hot spring is in a separate building. It is a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel, but there is also a shuttle bus service available, so you don't have to worry about bad weather or cold days. The hotel was built many years ago, and although the facilities are old, they are well maintained and there are no particular inconveniences or concerns. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had a French course for dinner. Everything looked and tasted wonderful. I was concerned about the water glasses used in the restaurant and asked the staff about it. Breakfast is not a buffet, but a choice of Western or Japanese set meals. I chose the Japanese set meal, and there was a sufficient amount and variety of side dishes. I would like to visit this hotel again next time."
