Had car trouble on New Years Eve. Checked in and was delighted by front desk personal Michelle and Nadia. All smiles. John the night auditor too plenty of smiles. This is rare for a night auditor as they usually choose their job not having to deal with people. The upgrade in a/c and heating controls seem to have a few bugs still in them. TV screen was too small for the spacious room. Bathroom is nice and large too. Rug, really nice and thick carpeting makes it a dream to walk on. Though entranceway was not and naturally the bathroom too there was no coldness to ones barefoot touch. Kids rule. Perfect for the family as the breakfast included had everything one could wish for. Granola, when was the last time you enjoyed this at a hotel breakfast. Naturally the fruit loop container emptied fast. Orange juice was not, it dispensed cold water. Apples and oranges were supermarket size. Line at waffle maker. Hotel was sold out the previous three nights. There are none to match the quality here. One thing the bathroom could use would be rainforest shower heads. Hot water in about 2 minutes, as it is winter time. Lighting in the lobby and breakfast area supurb. Rooms were quiet, no outside street noise. Noise absent from adjoining rooms too. 3 not 2 large bath towels and accompanying smaller ones are nice. Clean hallways and rooms. Quick telephone response. One can see their smiles. .Pantry is well stocked and the dining area pleasantly decorated. Accompanying photos may be sideways as Trip Advisor has not corrected their bugs in the system. This is a no frills hotel for sure-no pool or workout room, etc., but it is a great value. The rooms are very clean, there is ample-free-parking, and the owner and staff in the lobby are fantastic. There is a fridge, microwave, and small coffee pot in the room which was very convenient for my stay of almost a week. The hotel has a little coffee/tea bar with creamers and flavored syrups in the lobby along with a very ample bagged breakfast for guests each morning: fruit, pastry, granola bars, and a microwavable breakfast sandwhich or burrito of your choice.

The hotel is so big compared to San Francisco, the environment is also very good, the breakfast is rich, there are standard American breakfast oats, scrambled eggs, and meatloaf. The Lobby has a 24-hour free water bar, coffee, and juice. There are so many fruits in hotels in West America, so happy. The location of the hotel is very good, there is free parking, and Walmart is across the street, it is very convenient to go to the supermarket to supplement the needs of Highway 1. The downside is that the breakfast seats in the hotel are so few, you can only bring things back to the room to eat, which needs to be improved. The hotel is very cost-effective.

Unpleasant stay experience. At the time of check-in, there was no door*** at the entrance. Someone was in front of the registration. After leaving the question, the front desk staff did not take the initiative to receive it. I also asked for the initiative to go forward. There was no smile in the process. Applying for a crib at check-in, one is bad, and I don’t see it until I leave it. The breakfast was delivered to the room and it felt a bit like a fast food, cutlery plastic. When I checked out, when I asked if I could give me a bill, the service staff threw two sheets of paper at hand. I was shocked. I asked if there was an envelope and then I threw it. The details of such a service made me think that I lived in a normal hotel. By the way, the hotel will charge an additional $30 environmental fee, saying that the hotel is built in a protected area...

Despite the curious fact that there were no human beings to check in with, my stay was pleasant. I was in the Harbor Master room. It was comfortable and nicely furnished. The room was mostly quiet. The steps and landing outside the door were pretty loud and creaky whenever someone walked to their room. There was just a thin blanket on the bed and it was cold and foggy outside so I looked around and found a fleece blanket in the wardrobe. There was also an electric heater which helped heat the room in the morning. The room coffee was decent. The Svenhard's pastries in the breakfast room were definitely not decent. Had there been a real continental breakfast, I would happily have given 5 stars. But they don't promise a breakfast of any kind so I guess what was there was a bonus. Overall it was a good experience and I'll definitely book here again the next time I go whale-watching out of Moss Landing.

I stayed in this hotel while working temp in San Diego for about a month in May/April. I would say this is a hidden gem and a very cute boutique hotel! I loved that there are only 13 rooms and it has the cutest patio that stays lit at night for comfort and safety (very aesthetic as well!). ALL of the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. I think this would be the perfect stay for a solo traveler like myself, a couple or some friends. It could be a good fit for families as well, but it may be a bit louder then a family would want (traffic noise, multiple guests in one room and upstairs movement is fairly loud). I would not change much about this cute hotel. It is an older building, so you will hear movement from upstairs, if you are on the first floor. If you are a light sleeper, I would advise to stay on the second floor to take care of that. My room, and most, if not all, have a cute little kitchen that is stocked, so you can make any type of food! The unit was very clean and newly furnished! My bathroom was brand new and it was so cute and clean! Great tub for baths and relaxing. The location is amazing because it is right across the street from the ocean and a park. There are several, very nice bars and restaurants right on the same street too. The hotel has its own parking lot, as well as parking on the side streets. I would say this is a great selection for a short or long term stay for anyone looking to see Imperial Beach or surrounding areas! It is also pet friendly, with lots of areas to walk your doggies for potty. Special thanks to Dotti, the manager, for constant, exceptional customer service. And thanks to her amazing staff Kevin, Alba, Lily, Zahraa, Kino and Steven for all the hospitality and thoughtfulness during my long term stay! It really helped to have a solid, friendly staff during the stressful move I was making.

So this is one of those small Indian places where the owner has renovated an old nasty motel. I'm pretty sure all of the photos here are from before the remodel. The remodeling work is nothing spectacular, but it's a whole new color scheme and surfaces are clean and in very good shape. Unfortunately this place still has pretty small rooms. The parking lot is a little awkward and there are now outside areas at all to enjoy -- not even a park bench. The first time I stayed I was pleasantly suprised - really liked the brand-new bathroom finishes and fridge....especially for the price ! Second time I was really disappointed in a less-than-adequate bathroom cleaning job and maybe not the best bedding. So...I dunno...overall, they deserve way way more than the two stars they're showing here. I wouldn't take a date or family here, but for the low-budget traveler, it's ok for a short stay. Close walk to a 7-11 and a few other restaurants. NOT a close walk to beach or anything else. I'm gonna give this an extra star in order to off-set the out-dated and unfair previous reviews.

GGuest UserDriving back from a coastal wedding, decided was too late. Stopped in for a late night booking, front desk staff very friendly. The real kicker was the indoor pool. Kids immediately perked up to go in, I think it closed at 11 so they got their quick round in. Breakfast standard for holiday inn was appreciated.
GGuest UserAll the good reviews are right; this is a very nice hotel. We were in the area to visit the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway, has ample parking, the rooms are newly remodeled and everything is new and clean. We booked a King room but got upgraded to a wonderful large suite with a balcony which had views of the mountain in the distance. There was a gas fireplace, good TV and big comfy bed. It is also next to a bustling McDonalds and In-N-Out burger and actually kind of fun for us to watch all the cars lining up for the drive through windows for hours (we’re easy to entertain). The next morning, we had the best breakfast of the entire week long vacation. There were scrambled eggs and sausage, waffles with like 9 toppings (!) plus syrup and whip topping, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, 3 kinds of cereal, 3 kinds of juice, coffee and 3 kinds of fresh fruit. The dining room was perpetually kept clean. All the staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Nice and clean suite motel with a gym at the Courtyard next door. The breakfast had a good selection. The staff was great. It needed a little updating .I got the best price through the Marriott website but make sure you CONFIRM it when you check it and get it in writing with your email registration from Marriott and your counter girl. My bill WAS NOT what I was quoted on my Marriott guarantee. There is an enclosed swimming pool and hot tub and no need to reserve a suite since they all are. Just another way to increase the price. A little older hotel but clean and the staff makes up for the few issues they have.
GGuest UserExcellent accommodations. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. All staff members were friendly and professional. There is a large, clean, and well-equipped workout room and a coin-op laundry room with washer and dryer.
GGuest UserI made a reservation to stay at the Quality Inn in Salinas, CA; located at 144 Kern St | Salinas, CA, 93905, US. Our arrival to the hotels started off horrible. My family and I could not check in due to no one manning the front desk, the hotel lobby was closed. We waited 40 minutes for someone to come out and open the front lobby, where there are signs stating 24 hours services. I would also like to add we were not the only family waiting to be checkin in. Our arrival time was 1:30am. When the receptionist did come out she stated if her boyfriend wasn't parked out front in his car, and saw us in front of the lobby she wouldn't have come out. it was cleary visible she was woken from her sleep. I did call on Wednesday to let the front desk know I would be checking in late. It was the most awful feeling to wait out front of a lobby not knowing how to check in. I had called the front desk using the number listed on the window with no answer. I had never experienced this before. My family was not at ease once in the room. there were : hug stains on the floor the only chair in the room also was stained I found chewed blue gum on the floor. there were a trail of black ants on the only counter the beds looked like they had been laid in The door leading outside wasn't secure the tub would not drain. there was also brown stains on the walls to the restroom the mini fridge was corroded and didn't not close well the tv did not work My daughter had vomited a little and I had cleaned her face with a hand towel. That dirt towel was placed on the floor of the bathroom area to be picked up and the hotel cleaning staff hung the dirty vomited towel back up! My family and I ended up checking out 1 day early due to the disgusting circumstances. When I was checking out the lady at the front desk was the rudest hostess i have ever encountered. i told her why i was checking out however she didn't care for the news and did not apologize for the inconvenience. She had the poorest customer service. I also asked for the supervisor's name and she would not give it to me.
JJIABreakfast is very simple. The hotel has a small open-air swimming pool, where children can bubble their feet after breakfast, and unknown water birds will fall by the swimming pool. It is not scary at all. Health is ok, much better than Days Hotel. I chose this because the hotels in Monterey during the summer are too expensive, the prices here are much more affordable and the service is good. When we checked out, we left a backpack in our room, and when we came back, the service staff found it directly.
CClaudeShawThe scale is quite large and the price is not expensive, which is an advantage.
The disadvantage is that the bathroom is not clean and there are hairs from the customers in front. I have already paid for it at Ctrip, but the front desk charged me at the beginning. Although it was unintentional, there were still problems with the management. I said I wanted a quiet room, because my mother had a heart attack when she was old, but she arranged for me to be on the road and changed it after repeated requests. This experience was not good.
There is no breakfast, but that's fine, continental breakfast is only $5.
郁郁The location of the hotel is okay, mainly because the Monterrey reservation is not available, so I chose this hotel in Monterrey to San Francisco. Front desk service is OK, breakfast is the kind of motel, about 800 yuan during the National Day, cost-effective is generally not recommended
