JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa

I have been a visitor to the JW since 2014. While it’s great and I mean fantastic place to be with young children, I have noticed over the years that the property has become increasingly overcrowded. You pay a lot for the amenities and I understand that; the property itself is beautiful and that costs money to maintain however, there are just way too many people. So if you don’t mind feeling like you are at an amusement park this is a perfect place to stay with your family.

Bathroom needs detail cleaning off molds. Food was good. Just not used to paying for nightly parking… been to several resort where parking was free

I have been a loyal guest of JW Marriott and visit the San Antonio property regularly. However, during my most recent stay, I was surprised to see that a large portion of the pool loungers now require an additional upgrade or reservation fee. In the past, only the cabana area required an upgrade, which seemed fair and reasonable. This time, however, it appeared that nearly a third of the standard loungers in the common pool area were also reserved for upgraded guests. Considering that room rates have already increased significantly, I found this change disappointing. One of the attractions of staying at a resort of this caliber is having access to its amenities without feeling that more and more areas are being restricted behind additional fees. I have always enjoyed staying at this property and hope management will reconsider this policy, as it negatively impacts the overall guest experience.

Hotel was very well maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Kids loved the water park the most.

Room was clean. On Sunday morning we had no HOT water to shower. Had deadlines.staff was not friendly at check-in. Golf course price was too expensive for the shape the course was in compared to another high end resort we stay at. Spa was great. Unfortunately, we will not return.

Water slides were great. However, for three days, I had to call to get our room cleaned and towels replaced. We left in the morning and when we returned 4 or 5 pm, our room was not done. We did not have the “privacy” sign on the door.

This was a weekend getaway for my wife and I celebrating our 24 year anniversary. The staff was very friendly. The place was very clean from what we experienced. We definitely will be returning.!

The facility is clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful especially the concierge, valet, pool, bar, and reception teams. It is a great place for family with an excellent variety of amenities and activities.

This was the nicest vacation. Everyone is nice, helpful, the hotel rooms are clean and I would visit again
