We had a very good experience at this hotel. When we arrived, we were very impressed with the presentation of the hotel. It smelled so clean! The managers and staff were professional, kind and courteous. The room was comfortable. They had a nice continental breakfast with waffles, fruit, cereal, coffee, juice & bottled water. My kids really enjoyed that. The ladies from housekeeping were very pleasant and attentive. They provided us with clean towels/essentials throughout our 3 day stay. We requested no housekeeping simply because we were gone most of the day and we kept the room neat. My husband and the kids enjoyed an evening in the pool as well. We will definitely stay at this hotel next time we visit San Antonio. Thank you so much for being so welcoming!

I made a reservation for work purposes. Decided to come in early with fam to enjoy. I called over a week before coming and talked to the front desk. They reassured me that they updated my reservation and we were good to go. After driving 7 hours (should have been 5) with a carsick toddler, imagine my surprise when I showed up to find they DID NOT update my reservation and we were homeless for the night. The front desk lady was the rudest, very dismissive, pretty much said tough, we are full and you can find somewhere else to go. We asked for a manager...none on duty on weekends. She practically threw the manager's business cards at us and told us we can call to complain. Again, not our fault, take accountability for your companies mistake! During spring break weekend it was nearly impossible to find a place to stay and ended up costing us over $300 more than this hotel. We missed half of the weekend activities we were supposed to do. I recommend going 8 minutes down the road to the other Hilton Garden Inn SA airport on Broadway. Steer clear!

I am giving just 3* instead of 5* because of our problem checking in. We have stayed at many Holiday Inns & never had a problem finding our room. However this Hotel is an exception. Upon check-in we were told our room was # 315. The clerk said to get there drive your car to level C & then take the elevator to level 3. O.K. We park at level C, get our bags & proceed along a walkway to an outside door that goes into the hotel. As we approach the door it is opened by someone going out so we do not need to use our room scan card to open it. We find the room which was on the same level & try to open the door. Nothing worked. We call the front desk & the clerk says that she will bring us another card. We wait & wait & wait. Call the desk again. The clerk says where are you?. We say outside of #315. You were not there says the clerk. What ! Are we invisible? Anyway after much talk we & the clerk finally realize that we are in the WRONG Hotel. Yes,, the Drury Hotel shares the same parking garage & we are in the Drury.. We exit the Drury into the same parking garage & see another door around the corner. This one does lead to the Holiday Inn. After 30 min we are in our room. What a bunch of crap. On it's good side, we did have a full Hot Breakfast. Nice but small pool.

I enjoyed the clean room and the field next to the hotel as I was traveling with my dogs. My complaint is with the staff early the next morning when I wanted a receipt. The guest in line asked for a receipt in a rude manner. I waited in turn for to ask for one as well. When I did, the older gentleman at the window, seem to not want to give me one and was just plain rude about the request. In the end, we he finally gave me a receipt, he actually said, ”Leave.” Yes, ”Leave”. And then he nodded his head toward the door. I had not been rude to him nor deserved that treatment at all. He might have been angry that two guests were up so early and needed his services.
