Hotels near Macy＇s, San Diego

We stayed in a family room which was quite spacious and renovated enough. It was clean and the staff were attentive when we needed towels and sheets. I popped a fuse and they fixed it very quickly. The food at the bar and restaurant were very good and Charlie was a star! The pool, hot tub and grounds were all very pleasant and we didn’t hear any dogs barking! There is a little strip mall right next to the hotel with water, alcohol, pizza and pho noodles and 2 minutes (walking) further is a large strip mall with everything needed. The hotel is right off the 5 which makes it convenient.

Hotel was average but our stay was made significantly better by Abi. We had Abi as our server for breakfast and she was amazing. Courteous, friendly, respectful and with a contagious smile. My husband is a Marriott lifetime titanium elite member. We travel a lot and it has been a long time since we have seen such pleasant service. Rating would have been lower if not for Abi

The grounds were beautiful and well kept, our room was a great size and bathroom was spotless. The girls were the front desk were nice as well! We just had some encounters we did not appreciate. A moment after we drove up and I had just got off our truck to grab my purse and suitcase, we were already approached and told to move our vehicle for valet. No big deal, just a tad inconvenient. We just had to bring our truck around a second time to unload. The next morning at breakfast I wanted to sit in a certain area because all the other tables were dirty, then was told by management to leave that area. When I told them them if we can clean the tables, they told us sit at another table that had prints all over it. The waiter was nice however. I was also in line waiting to turn in my room key around 15 minutes and another customer cut me off right when I was about to be attended, turned around and just told me ”he just had to”, and no one said anything regarding that encounter. I understand some things are beyond the workers control as I have also worked in customer service. However, these encounters made me feel like I did not receive equal respect or consideration as other high-paying guests. Considering this hotel was quite pricey already. Parking was an additional $33 per night and we bought 5 waterbottles for $26 in the lobby store while other customers with Hilton loyalty were given 2 free bottles. This is not directed directly towards any employees, I just think all this has to do more with the Hilton Hotel name. I have had much better experiences at cheaper hotels. This was just an example of how famous names don't mean much when you charge us for the most miniscule amenities that should just come with the pricey room fee. That is common courtesy. Not impressed. If I could rate your ambience, it would get one star. Stay here only if you are into golfing and have money to throw away.

The hotel is very convenient for transportation. It is very convenient to drive to any sights in San Diego. There is also an induction cooker that can cook very well. It is exactly what we need. The breakfast was very, very simple, basically not for breakfast, but the price at the San Diego hotel was quite good.

For this price, it’s not bad. The hotel can also do laundry here, which is cheap and not expensive. For me, this is a bright spot. The disadvantage is that if you come back too late, you have to enter through a small door next to it. The door is very locked. Danger

I stayed with two friends for a vaca from home. We stayed 3 nights. It was a blast. Such nice hotel staff. Our fav time was happy hour with great cocktails and food. We went every night. Tired different drinks and food each night. Our bartender Sharu was amazing and she makes the best Mai Tai’s. The bar staff was excellent along with its servers. We literally stayed for hours by the fire pits outdoors in the nice cool air. We were treated so well. Even by the breakfast staff. Front desk too! It was a real nice ambiance in the evenings by fire pits. They have a nice indoor pool and out door jacuzzi. Breakfast made to order was great. Hotel rooms were nice and comfy and big and clean. Hotel was beautiful and the koi fish are such a nice touch to the place. It’s peaceful and comfiness here. I’ll be back. We will definitely come back for our happy hour beautiful experience. First time I came there with my husband in November 2021, and second time - with my middle daughter of 11 years old in March 2022. I love this hotel -we took both times side sea view - park and ocean -amazing view! Probably front beach view is better, but for us too expensive. Don't recommend rooms without view. All rooms ( I suppose) have balcony, where pleasant to sit to have tea (or drinks in the evening). More romantic place than family. But my daughter loved pool and beach. So it's family too:) Close to hotel there is nice park with kids stuff - so families are welcome. Standard Rooms are pretty big and have two queen beds. So both time it were two of us - but it can be easily 4 persons, especially if it is family with 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast - for additional money is medium, not bad, but in city we had better breakfasts. Bar is nice:) Dinner-never tried. But within 150-300 meters of walk - great restaurants -italian (2) and others. Stuff is very friendly and pleasant. Rooms are clean and not tired. I will definetely return there. Also - we like to walk -it is 20 min walk or 5-7 min drive to La Jolla caves, seals. I did it both times and will do again -love to watch sea lions, seals and birds.

Very good stay experience, next time you have the opportunity to stay. Saturday and Sunday prices are attractive. The surrounding environment is quiet and lush trees, next to Qualcomm. The breakfast was generous and the room was comfortable enough. Everything is OK!

The location is not ideal. It is far away from the sea. It is not close or convenient. The seagulls on the windows are still pleasantly surprised. The overall feeling is quite satisfactory. The service is also very average. When I checked in, I said we were on a honeymoon trip, but I still gave a twin bed (the front desk A little senseless)

We spent 6 nights in total this time in their King Sites. Interior is quite new and modern. Standard breakfast included, till 9:30 though. Comfort and clean room. Free parking. No water fountain. 10-15 mins drive from UCSD. Definitely worth the price. Will consider coming back next time.
