Property is nice and clean, staff is friendly and professional. No complains about the hotel or business but the area is horrifying, dirty, unsafe, homeless is everywhere and drug ******* are all over. We did not feel safe in the area or entire San Jose.

Cool hotel. ******* lists the premium room as having two queen beds. They are doubles. The restaurant is great and staff is friendly.

Once you understand that all of Costa Rica is like this, then you get that it is normal. There were pairs of cops on many corners so I felt pretty safe. Even in the evening, it was just a bit slower and cooler than the day. Just always lots of people. The Jade Museum was terrific. The National Theater was closed for tours. :( Great food everywhere. It was great.
The room was nice and it was clean. The AC was perfect.

Missed opportunity
Nice hotel and location. Rooms need improving, not all rooms had a bedside lights or sofa, vanity stuff etc.
The best thing about the hotel was the rustic lobby entrance. It was stunning, shame the theme didn’t follow through in the rooms

Great stay. Yes! Amazing included breakfast. Comfortable firm bed.
Heads up- hard to find entrance. On side of street vs at the point or front of building.
