The Gateway Pasumalai is a peaceful stay in jungle in heart of concrete jungle . Spread over 63 acres hilly forest and with heritage structures as old as 135 years this hotel has its own charm , you will see lot of shortcoming and challenges due to its old age but the nature and the team here makes your stay very relaxing and comfortable . Also the management has decided to upgrade the facility here to match modern age 5 star experience which is in process and hope the guest coming after Diwali will have all together new Luxary experience . We were happy to see Pandian at front office who always helps the guest with there request , also Govind was too good for the guest checking in and to give good insight into the room and views from the hotel . Even though the Resturant have limited options for food the team here did all there best to meet our request thanks to Cheaf Karthik and the team especially Venkat who was at this best to serve the guests with all the limitations the Restaurant has . Special thanks to GM VISHAL SHRIVASTAVA, for his engagement with guest and understand the area of improvement to make stay experience better , with special arrangement made for us to experience the welcome ritual at Taj Pasumalai . Overall it was very satisfying and relaxing stay on lap of nature and we are looking forward to stay in completely renovated property for a better experience in future too .

Very nice and courteous staff; morning walk is fantastic; entire surrounding is very calm and quiet. Ideal for business and pleasure trip. Breakfast variety is moderate compared to ITC. But, taste is too good. Menu should focus little bit more south Indian

Great property for family; Had visited with my elderly mother, for a short break. Good security. Easy booking experience through website. Good sized room no 20, but no view; other rooms must be good good access for elderly. Break fast buffet had good traditional and continental variety, taste was good. Service was prompt. Pleasant staff interaction at all levels. No lunch buffet, only ala carte.

I usually travel a lot, hectic schedule with early morning or late night flights and meetings. When you come back hotel need a relaxation and peaceful. This is a place. Brings energetic for next day !!!! Flattered by the service. Taj is Taj !!!!

Every thing was perfect special thanks to Mr Pandian for taking extra effort to make our stay comfortable The property is situated at a very beautiful location with a beautiful view of Meenakshi temple and amazing swimming pool Staff members are very congenial and caring

The ambience is very beautiful. The whole place has a lot of peacocks. There is a beautiful view of the city from the restaurant. The staff are very courteous and hospitable. Every guest is made to feel very important. The rooms are very clean. Pets are allowed here and the staff take care of the pets very well.

From the moment we landed at airport to our flight back, the staff took care of every minute travel details from airport pick, to room service to Breakfast, travel and food recommendation. Pandian, Ram, Sudipto, Subhas were amazing and super helpful. Shared all local top things to do with excellent recommendations. They made sure our local travels were comfortable gor me and my elderly parents. Very hospitable staff. Would love to come stay here if I visit again.

Highlights are peacocks, very silent and peaceful place inside Madurai city, all attractions are close by, comfortable service, all services are inside the property, well equipped kitchen with good service of food, helpful staff at all point
