Holiday Motel

Overall this motel was fine for the two nights stay in the Soo. We came to visit a cousin whom is in hospice here. For the days we came for we didn't want to spend a ton of money. The owners are nice and were accommodating after the first night we had noisy neighbours. The second night was bliss - complete silence. The room was clean which is a must for us. The motel is dated but this was not my concern as we aren't here on vacay. Clean is clean. Thank you for hosting us. We will definitely come back.

We were on a family vacation with our granddaughter when we got news that our mother had passed away. I contacted Holiday Motel early afternoon as soon as we got the news to cancel our reservation for that day. They still charged us for the night and will not refund it even with a death certificate.

Beautiful motel I had the pleasure to stay in for two nights!! Last minute walk up,Deepack at front desk was very friendly and welcoming! Rooms had all the amenities you could ask, a/c working great, and cleanliness was 10/10! Will definitely be coming back to stay again next time I visit Sault Ste Marie!

This is a very basic motel room. You park your car outside. Although the room is not large, it appeared like new inside since it was recently renovated. It was quite clean and the beds were comfortable. I feel it was very good value for its low price.

Chose this motel based on reviews, location (drive Toronto to SSM). Check-in was efficient and friendly, room air-conditioning worked well, bed was comfortable, our room was clean, bathroom was clean and good shower pressure. It was perfect for an overnight stay.

After a long drive, we were looking for a convenient motel with good reviews where we can actually park the car by the room. The room was clean, comfortable with an upgraded bathroom. Friendly owner. Would recommend.

The motel has been renovated and the rooms we booked were clean with comfortable beds. I give the motel an 'average' rating due to some difficulty with payment. My experience with payment was not as it should have been. I won't go into detail but it took some time to resolve the issue and I think if I hadn't checked prior to checking out, there would have been an overpayment. Given the rate compared to other hotels/motels in the area and that the rooms are clean and comfortable I would not let the poor experience at check out stop me from recommending this motel to others. My situation was probably not common.

This is a budget motel close to the Agawa train station. However, the check-in was very stressful. The person at the reception lacks basic customer service skills. The hotel should invest in providing anger management and customer service training to its employees. Apparently they write down customers credit card details on the piece of paper and keep it in some files despite the fact that the transaction is done electronically. I don't find it being a secure practice. And you are not allowed to ask any questions as the guy at the reception becomes very defensive to the point of yelling at you. The motel is ok but having such unwelcoming and aggressive reception is very disturbing and does not help. I travel a lot but have never encountered such a hostile reception. Next time I will choose to stay somewhere else where the check in done in a professional manner.
