Pooler
When we arrived at the hotel, I was the only one at the registration desk, being helped by two attendants, and later a manager, it took more than 20 minutes to check in. I had been referred and prepaid through priceline. I specifically made sure the hotel understood that the room had been prepaid and even showed my confirmation and trip number to verify. I presented a credit card for incidentals, and later found that I had been charged for the room again at the property, along with an additional hold for incidentals. While at the desk checking in, a staff member pushed past and in front of me quite aggressively as he threw a bunch of keycards into a basket at the desk. All present were taken aback at the man's rudeness, but the manager's response to me was ”He doesn't speak English”. In all the time spent at check in, no one ever mentioned anything about the hotel being under renovation, or that amenities advertised would not be available. Most notable were no shops, or restaurant/bar service, fitness center out of order, no hot breakfast. The hotel public areas were not available due to the renovations, which I see from other reviews has been going on for more then a few months. The room had thick dust, smelled of insecticide, and the bed linens smelled sour. In room coffee offering was two bags of decafe, and no cream or sugar to go with it. The next morning I inquired about the hot breakfast that was advertised. I was told there was no hot breakfast and to go down the hall to the continental breakfast. We had hot breakfast at a local restaurant at an additional cost to us. Upon checkout I inquired about being charged for the room and how it would be handled. The same manager that helped the first two attendants check me in the day before said that I should get in touch with Priceline so they could fix it. I can't believe this property qualifies as a 3 star hotel with a 8+ review rating!! I've reached out to priceline regarding the room charge and to express my disappointment in being referred by them to this property. Still waiting for resolution...
The Grand Savannah Hotel

We stayed for 3 nights while we visited Savannah. The staff was great especially Sid at the front desk. He was amazing during check in. He even greeted us each evening as we came back from our Savannah adventures. I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very roomy. The beds were definitely 5 star. The breakfast was hot and pancakes were a nice offer. If we are ever had n the area we will definitely be staying again.
