Hotel Kapalai Semporna

The service is very good, with Chinese service. The hotel is very new, so the hardware is good, the room is large, the L-shaped balcony is very comfortable, the view is very wide, and you can see the sunrise. The shuttle bus is convenient and on time. There is a night market downstairs, which is a little noisy at night, but it is okay after 10 o'clock. Overall, the environment is better than the town pier. The food is relatively simple, and there are flies flying around, and there are some footprints on the bed. In addition, the Chinese translation of "sea view room" actually has nothing to do with the sea, which is misleading.

The room is big, the hotel is new, and you can see the whole town of Semporna from the top floor. The food at the No. 10 fishing port opposite the hotel is very delicious and cheap. There is a large Muslim night market next door, and there is also a supermarket and pharmacy downstairs. There is a small bar on the rooftop with live bands at night. It takes 6-7 MYR to the island hopping pier by taxi. I personally like this place more. The town is a bit noisy and messy. Anyway, I sleep at night, and there are no reptiles, rats and ants, which is the most important thing. Their menu is funny.

The environment is very good. You need to pay an additional tourist tax of 10 MYR per night. There is a buffet on the first floor from 7 to 10 o'clock

It was a bit late to book a trip to Semporna. I almost ran out of room to stay. I originally wanted to stay at the water house, but I didn’t think about it during the Spring Festival. I walked around a few times and saw this hotel. I didn’t dare to check in because there were no reviews for the new hotel. So I decided to give it a try. I placed an order with a trial mentality. After checking in, I found that it was really good. It exceeded my expectations. The hotel was very clean. As someone who likes four- and five-star hotels when I go out, I still highly approve of it. After all, in a small town like Semporna, you can’t expect too much 😂 There is an older man at the front desk, I don’t know if he is the boss, he speaks Chinese fluently and has a very good attitude. There is a free shuttle bus to the pier every day, so you don’t delay going out to sea. Breakfast is included Simple and ok, the overall rating is domestic three-star hotel standards. There is a supermarket and restaurant downstairs, and you can also go to the night market in the town at night.

Overall good, new hotel. The location is okay. It doesn’t take long to go to the pier in the morning. The sea is indeed beautiful. Island hopping and snorkeling are much better than in Thailand. It is indeed a world-class snorkeling area. All in all, it is great.

I have never been so eager to give a review on accommodation. After all, I stayed here for three consecutive days, so I have some say. I will never recommend this hotel to my friends no matter what! First, it is far from the town center. There is a one-way street to the town center, and there will be a lot of traffic jams on the road. Second, there is a peculiar smell. Except for the lobby, the whole way from the elevator to the room is filled with a stuffy and damp smell. Third, the breakfast is not only bad and unpalatable, but there are also flies in the food cover. Fourth, I checked out after staying for three days. When I came back in the evening of the second day, I couldn’t swipe the room card, and I had to run down with a bunch of things. The hotel front desk didn’t apologize at all. The service is too bad! If there is no reminder, the hotel will not come to clean, and even water will not be delivered! The service was arranged the day before to deliver to the town center the next day, but there was no information at all the next day, saying that I didn’t make a reservation! A fat female service supervisor asked all kinds of strange questions with a very discriminatory look, such as "Are you alone?" I said I was alone, but she found a lighter and asked if it was my husband's! - What does this have to do with you not being able to find my car reservation information?! Please ask your colleagues in charge of reservations at the front desk, instead of asking me boring questions! Finally, the staff of this hotel are not honest! I arrived at noon and asked where to eat in the town center. They told me that there was no food in the town and I should eat at the restaurant next door; once at 7 o'clock in the evening, I asked if there was a car to the seafood market, and the front desk said that the seafood market was closed, so I didn't go and ate next door. This, this, this... is this bullying people's IQ! If it weren't because I was too lazy to change at the last minute, I wouldn't stay for three consecutive days and encounter such a weird hotel, and it's almost 600 per night!
