"Terrible. The room was tiny, stuffy, and had a strong mix of musty and sewage smells. The bed sheets were dirty. When I asked for them to be changed, I was told the cleaning staff had already left for the day, and changing rooms wasn't an option either. Eventually, they just gave me a new sheet to change myself. After diving, all our clothes were wet, and there was nowhere to hang them to dry. The room was so small we couldn't even open our luggage."

"The location is great for getting around, right by Haifeng Pier. Other than that, everything else is terrible. The hotel is dirty, messy, and old. The staff barely have any service awareness, and the room's facilities are simple and outdated. Overall, it felt like staying in a cheap motel. For around 1000, it's definitely not worth it. I don't recommend staying here. I stayed one night and then switched to a much better hotel next door for the same price point; they're not even in the same league."

"This place offers incredible value for money. We booked two double rooms and one triple room; the triple room was noticeably much larger than the doubles, but that's not the main point. The best part is being able to walk directly into the sea from the room – it was so much fun! The water is crystal clear, with lots of starfish, sea urchins, and coral. We even saw many Nemos. At night, there were plenty of fish, and a large sea turtle even swam past the boardwalk."

The value of this long-standing five-star hotel keeps increasing. The service was excellent, and extra meals were served promptly. The buggy service was also very quick. The underwater scenery was even more vibrant and colorful. The sunset was also beautiful. There were so many sea turtles, we encountered them everywhere, along with manta rays and various schools of fish. It was breathtaking. I'll definitely go again if I have the chance. I've already recommended it to my friends!"

"1️⃣ The location is about 1.2km from the pier, a 20-minute walk or a hotel shuttle bus. However, the road there is very bad, with no sidewalks, making it somewhat dangerous at night. 2️⃣ The hotel is located in a courtyard. Check-in and hotel staff all work in the courtyard. If someone is talking outside, you can hear them inside, as there is virtually no soundproofing. Similarly, conversations inside can be heard by passersby outside. Those seeking privacy and quiet should think twice. 3️⃣ The rooms are very basic. There are no curtains, only Roman blinds. The bathroom doesn't even have curtains. 😰 If you stay on the first floor, there's practically no privacy at night. Why didn't they even bother with curtains? It's really unpleasant. 4️⃣ It's very noisy at night. There are all sorts of insect and bird chirps, motorcycles passing by, and a constant, inexplicable mechanical humming outside my room. It was incredibly noisy. Then, at 4 AM, they started chanting prayers through a loudspeaker next door. I basically spent the whole night surrounded by noise; it was torture! 😩 5️⃣ Breakfast was just an egg and a bowl of noodles. After that, you could go island hopping. In short, I wouldn't recommend staying here at this price. It's just too noisy. The most important thing about staying in a hotel is rest, and the room lacks privacy without curtains. It rains frequently here, and there's a musty, watery smell on the first floor. It's a very average hotel, not worth the price. Personally, I think if you're going to be noisy anyway, you might as well stay near the pier."

"To my fellow Chinese travelers, absolutely do NOT stay at this place! When we checked in, we paid a 100 deposit and received a receipt. The Indian staff at the front desk did not tell us that we needed this receipt to get our 100 MYR back upon check-out the next day. My partner and I are both international students, so if they had mentioned it, we would have definitely understood in English. The next day, after we checked out, their staff quickly went up to clean the room. When we came down to check out, we were told we couldn't get our deposit back without the receipt. I said to wait a moment, that it was on the table, but by the time I went back up, a cleaner was already in the room, and the receipt was gone from the table. In the end, they refused to refund my 100 MYR."

"AU YU Room is beautiful and offers a lovely sea view. The room was clean and well-maintained overall. One tip for future guests: wear the in-house slippers, as there was quite a bit of sand on the floor. The location is convenient, with many restaurants within walking distance. However, the nearest laundry service is on the other side of the city, so you'll need to take a Grab if you require laundry facilities. The only downside was the security deposit of RM200, which felt rather high. The deposit is only refunded after the staff completes a room inspection during check-out. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a great view and good dining options nearby."

"If I had a choice, I wouldn't stay here again. This is the first time I've encountered such a long wait for check-out, even with a deposit. Those who paid with credit cards also had to wait. Check-in and check-out were all mixed together... the management is just too chaotic. Plus, the gym had an extremely strong, pungent plastic smell, making it impossible to use. The downstairs restaurant was absolutely terrible. The only good thing was that the room's cleanliness wasn't bad, after all, it's a 5-star hotel, and its location is superb."
