Excellent location. The room is a little bit small and the small table in the room has occupied a lot of limited space.

The Solaria Nishitetsu is a fantastic choice for travelers who prioritize exceptional location, modern design, and impeccable service. It’s a polished, efficient hotel that feels like a serene Japanese-inspired retreat amidst the exhilarating chaos of Myeongdong. --- **Location: (★★★★★)** Absolutely unbeatable. This is the hotel’s biggest selling point. * **Myeongdong Metro:** Exit 5 is literally a 30-second walk from the hotel's discreet side entrance. Line 4 (light blue) connects you directly to Dongdaemun, Seoul Station, and Myeongdong Station itself is a major hub. * **Shopping & Food:** You are in the epicenter of Myeongdong shopping street. Evening food stalls, countless restaurants, and every major beauty store are right at your doorstep. * **Accessibility:** A 10-15 minute walk gets you to the Namdaemun Market, and it's an easy taxi or subway ride to Insadong, Bukchon, and Ikseon-dong. **First Impression & Lobby: (★★★★☆)** The entrance is modern and understated—you could almost miss it if not for the discreet signage. Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a calming scent, sleek dark wood, and a sophisticated, quiet atmosphere. The check-in process was swift and conducted by wonderfully polite, multi-lingual staff. The lobby is small but beautiful, setting the tone for the entire stay. **The Room: (★★★★☆)** * **Design & Cleanliness:** The room embodied modern Japanese minimalism—clean lines, warm wood tones, and intelligent use of space. It was spotlessly clean. The amenities were high-quality, with lovely Japanese toiletries. * **Size:** As expected in a prime Seoul location, the room was compact but brilliantly designed. For a solo traveler or a couple with one large suitcase, it was perfectly comfortable. Two large suitcases might have felt a bit tight. The “smart bathroom” with its multi-function toilet and deep soak tub was a fantastic luxury in a small space. * **View & Noise:** We had a room facing the interior courtyard/other buildings, which was very quiet. Street-facing rooms might get some nighttime buzz from Myeongdong, but the double-glazed windows are excellent. * **Bed:** The bed was firm and very comfortable, with high-quality linens. **Amenities & Services: (★★★★☆)** * **Breakfast:** We tried the breakfast once. It’s a delightful mix of Korean, Japanese, and Western options in a beautiful, light-filled dining room. The quality was excellent (the miso soup and grilled fish were highlights), but it is on the pricier side. * **Facilities:** No pool or gym, which some might miss. However, the 2nd-floor lounge area is a lovely, quiet space to relax with complimentary tea and coffee. * **Service:** Impeccable. Staff were always helpful, from storing luggage before check-in to providing directions and calling taxis. The turndown service was a nice touch. **Value for Money: (★★★★☆)** This is not a budget hotel, but you are paying for the premium location, outstanding cleanliness, refined atmosphere, and excellent service. For what it offers, it feels like good value within the upscale-midrange category.

The hotel's location is excellent, very accessible. Right outside are day stores and the night food stalls, and a few minutes walk away is the subway station exit and Myeongdong Cathedral. The room could be described as minimalistic and Japanese guests will find the separated bathroom and toilet a familiar feature. Rooms are cleaned every other day but ammenities are replenished daily. The staff is polite and unobtrusive. The best part, personally, is the dedicated smoking room on the lobby floor (photo attached). It's clean, well-ventilaed and the view is great.
