9.0 (181 reviews)

"this place is practically unmanned, yet runs pretty well. It is clean, tidy and you get all the services that are advertised. The capsule itself is cosy and very comfortable. There is ventilation inside. Don't expect good sound insulation between you and the neighbouring capsules. Everyone was respectful during my stay, but snoring is unavoidable, so if you're a light sleeper easily affected by this, then take note. Breakfast is the same everyday, toast, ham, cheese, coffee. The washrooms were very clean. Check in and check out was also a breeze. Location is very conveniently located between two stations: Dongdaemun and Dongmyo. Both have 2 lines, so this place is very well connected wherever you need to go/come back from in Seoul. Would stay here again if travelling solo."

Hi Seoul Hostel Myeongdong Central ★★
"Room type: 5m square for single occupancy Pro: Locate at the beginning of the Myeongdong walking street, within 5 mins walking distance from Myeong Dong Station. Window can be opened but cannot smoke, meanwhile the noise from outside blocked very well. Staff at check out will help u to carry the luggage if u can find a staff. Room is clean with a strong hair dryer, unlimited Bottles of water, water machine that provides hot water in Corridor, and there is a mini fridge under the bed. The room is 5m square but it is enough to put a big size luggage. Most important, bed and blanket is soft. Con: No Lift! From my picture u will see the entrace of the hostel, it is locate at 3rd and 4th floor. check in is mainly rely on kiosk locate on 3rd floor, so better not assume there will be staff to help u. And be prepared that the closest Myeongdong station exit is No.4 which has not lift too, only stairs. Wall is thin, so it depends on your luck that if u have a noisy neighbour or not. I can hear clearly when my neighbour talking on phone."

"It was really clean, well-run and much larger than I expected! Upon check-in, you would be given a card of sorts to access a locker for your luggages and belongings. There was a snore. Not going to lie. Hard to avoid because there are no doors obviously."

"The hotel's location between two train lines was fantastic, offering great convenience for getting around. However, as a Japanese traveler, I found the rules around waste disposal and not being able to flush toilet paper quite challenging. Since it's a residence-style accommodation, you don't get the same services as a traditional hotel, but it's a great option if you're looking for a more relaxed and independent stay."

The hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong Station, and there's a convenience store right next door. While the shower and toilet are combined and it's not a luxurious stay, it's perfectly sufficient if you're just looking for a place to sleep."
