"The hotel is newly built and the interior and amenities are equivalent to a five star hotel, the staff were kind to check me in 2 hours earlier than the stated time. For amenities, they provide you with a washing machine and even a clothing styler to sanitise your clothes. The only drawbacks is that the hotel is quite a distance from either subway stations (around 8 minutes walk for an avg adult), however, since I travelled alone, I would often sped up my pace so it’s around 4-5 minutes for me. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would definitely love to revisit!!!"

"Excellent value compared to international chains. Conveniently located with close and easy access to a few lines of Seoul Metro. If you take the train from the airport to the district (Hongik University stop), it's just a short walking distance of about 10 mins (like 95% covered!). The room is neat, spacious for one person or good enough for a couple. The complimentary drinks and snacks are a pleasant welcome surprise. I hoped for a more elaborate gym but I can understand the cost restraint; the gym ”as is” is functional and acceptable. The only thing which I hope the hotel can seriously consider is to include some drawers for placing clothes, especially those used. There is none in my room except a drawer in each of the two bedside tables, which are small and not for that purpose. I think the space under the clothes valet rod can accommodate one or two simple functional drawers. I highly recommend this hotel and shall return or try its sister hotels in other Seoul districts."

"Room was clean!! Staff were friendly and spoke English.
Price was significantly lower than the shopping districts ones and rightfully so; it's quite a distance away, haha.
However would still consider this hotel since it's super near to Line 1 and a short walk away from Line 5 (the purple one).
There are a few convenience stores nearby and a 24h self cook ramen shop too.
We had a short stay so didn't manage to walk the food area right opposite the hotel. it looks very busy at night
We were at level 17 and facing the train tracks which could be a bit noisy.
Breakfast was at 18k won per pax. Didnt have much variety but good enough for the belly
The airport bus from airport is nearby! Once u exit the bus u can see the hotel building. The airport bus to Incheon is opp, outside McDonald's."

"Excellent location that is right next to 2 subway lines. Amazing and Friendly Staff that are happy to serve.
However, do take note that check out timing is by 11am.
Cleaning up of checked out rooms are from 11am till 3pm.
Tidying up of rooms not checked out are from 3pm till 6pm.
Biggest issue is only 2 small lift shafts serving 18 floors of guests excluding 1st floor and 2 floors located at the basement. Imagine we needed 20 minutes to get to the front desk from our rooms."

Cleanliness: Spotless.
Location: Incredibly convenient. It's right next to a wholesale market selling men's, women's, and children's clothing, as well as shoes. Across the street, there's a bustling food street, making it super easy to find any kind of food you're craving. I particularly recommend a fantastic BBQ restaurant there that even serves live octopus 🐙, along with delicious fried chicken and beer.

"It was a pleasant stay here. Location is great. If you come from airport railroad train with luggages, do take exit 8 instead of exit 9 because there’s lift and the walk about 5-10mins. Convenient stores and currency exchange are just opposite the hotel. There’s a few halal eateries too all walking distance. "I stayed at the hotel where WINNER stayed. The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient, with direct airport bus access! Everything you need is nearby – several Olive Young stores, many cafes, and a convenience store is just downstairs, a quick couple of right turns away. It's super easy to get around from here. The breakfast was very Korean. The room was clean; although a bit small, it wasn't a major issue. The front desk staff were also great; besides Korean, they were fluent in English and Japanese. Luggage storage is available, highly recommended! You'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, and I didn't see any pajamas in the room."

The hotel is perfectly located in Myeongdong, just a 7-minute direct walk to Myeongdong Station, making it super convenient for shopping, dining, and transport. Staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything I needed. Accessibility was excellent, making it easy to move around the city.
A lovely bonus was the daily complimentary coffee, tea, and Häagen-Dazs ice cream — such a thoughtful touch that made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seoul. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is absolutely clean. Rooms are cleaned every two days, but fresh towels are provided daily in a basket left at your door, which I found very convenient.
Staff & Services:
The staff are very friendly and cheerful. I requested an extra blanket, and housekeeping delivered it within just five minutes—very responsive and efficient service.
Location:
Excellent location right in the heart of Myeongdong shopping street. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the airport bus station (6001/6015), making it very convenient for travelers.
Room Layout:
I really liked that the toilet and shower are in separate rooms. This made it much more convenient for me and my partner to get ready at the same time.
Added Value:
As a coffee lover, I really appreciated that Nespresso capsules were refilled and restocked every day—a great added touch!
Summary:
Overall, I had a great experience at Solaria Hotel and would highly recommend it.

The only down side is that the breakfast hours is 6.30-9.30am. Too early for us with little children that can’t wake up early. But as you are able to request to take away food, they will provide you with lunch box. So I managed to bring up food for my children.

Otherwise overall stay was alright. Location near anguk station, near a lot bakeries and cafe with good options of restaurants. Within walking distance gyeongbokgong palace.

CCHW0101Hotel is very new a with modern decoration and close to the trendy Hyundai Shopping Mall. I especially like the perfumes in the lift lobby. Room is normal and clean. The gym is huge and with very good equipment, almost similar scale versus Conrad hotel next door. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The breakfasts are not a buffet, but they are delicious and slightly different every day. The location is super, a pleasant walk along the Seoullo 7017 overpass from Seoul Station. And the center is 15 minutes away. There are many convenience stores in the area. There is a restaurant with European cuisine in the hotel building - pasta, pizza, everything is delicious. I recommend Hotel Manu Seoul.

ZZhaohuihuiSeoul Front Hotel boasts an excellent location. The subway station is within easy walking distance, and a popular, Instagram-worthy BBQ spot is just around the corner. While the rooms are compact, they are clean and modern. The front desk staff speaks fluent English and is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar offers fantastic night views. Overall, it's excellent value for money!

PPaul R.Hotel U5 is situated in Dongdaemun, which is a great location — very convenient for getting around and exploring the area. The room was decent but a bit dusty, which took away from the overall comfort. I liked that they have a laundry room available for guests, which was definitely handy.
However, you always have to go down to the reception to ask for basics like bottled water and bath towels — nothing is replenished in the room automatically. You also have to request for your room to be cleaned; it’s not done by default. And a heads-up: the ajumma at the coffee shop on the side was quite rude, which left a bad impression.
Overall, it’s okay for the location and basic amenities, but cleanliness and service could use improvement.

GGuest UserI thought Gangman Seven hostel was a very pleasant experience! For the value of the price it’s really unmatched in Seoul. While a bit far from the touristic neighborhood, it’s very close to several subway lines, reasonably clean for the price.
⬇️ Also if you leave the hostel and take a left and walk for 6-7 minutes, you will see this dumpling place pictured below, really incredible and affordable dumplings, I highly recommend. Went back 2 nights

MMary KathrynWe were able to locate the guest house easily using Naver Map. However, our first struggle was how to reach the destination itself.
The guesthouse is located in an uphill area, almost near Namsan Cable Car (600km/20min walk). A great tip we discovered (after struggling of walking uphill for 2 days 😂) was using the escalators/elevators near the Ihoeyeong Memorial Hall. Go straight from there and you’ll find a 7-Eleven convenience store upon crossing the street. Go left then right at the first wide alley way you see, it should be uphill. Keep on walking until you see a signage of mama guest house on your right side.
We booked a day before our arrival so we could immediately check-in in our rooms. A note welcomed us and our keys were found at the reception area. Pls don’t forget to remove your shoes and change into the slippers they provide found in the shoe cabinet at the left side of the entrance.
Our rooms were next to each other, but differ in size. Bathroom was okay, but I hope they’ll fix the sink’s pipe problem in room 104 since it leaks on the floor upon using. I suggest buying shower filters (5,000 Won) since the water in SK is quite harsh. I suggest to test how you’ll adjust the temperature when showering. There were no bidets in our bathrooms.
Always bring your keycard with you whenever you go out. They don’t go into your rooms like hotels would. If you have any requests, just leave a note on their desk (ie. New towels, tissue, etc.) They also don’t have laundry machines. Do not eat inside the rooms, only in the kitchen which is in the basement.
If you feel like your trash bins are getting full, trash bins are found in the lobby and segregate everything according to their waste category. Just think of it as you’re staying on your own room.
Walls are thin, made of light wood materials so I wouldn’t suggest talking nor listening to your phone loudly.
Breakfast menu were cereals with milk, bread and flavored jam, and instant noodles. You can only consume what’s inside the fridge unless there’s a note that a room guest owns it. You can cook and buy your own food, just make sure you clean up after. You can also fill-up your water bottles here.
Going to different areas are easy too since it’s near Myeongdong Station exit 1. If you’re planning to go shopping in Myeongdong, just go straight after exit 1 and you should see E-Mart across the street then cross on the first crosswalk you see. If you want to enter the “main” street, go left until you see the bug HBAF building.
Overall, I think our stay was a good since the staff we get see was very accommodating to our requests. I just hope they’ll fix some of their bathroom leakage.
