LOTTE CITY HOTEL MYEONGDONG

The housekeeping was satisfactory, but I didn't feel the hotel lived up to its advertised standards otherwise. The location is great, but you need to have serious hypnotic abilities, otherwise, you'll hear karaoke every night and construction starting at 6 AM. It sounds like this construction project won't be finished for at least a year and a half, haha. I tried to book a room away from the construction a month in advance, but couldn't get one. I guess I brought it on myself.

There was construction going on in the building behind the hotel during my stay, which made it very noisy in the mornings. However, Trip.com's customer service was excellent; they helped me switch rooms, and it was much better. The service was great! Thanks to Trip.com customer service for their help!

Overall, I'm satisfied. The service attitude was pretty good, and they have a business center for printing documents, which wasn't cheap but acceptable. The room itself was genuinely small; my large suitcase barely fit in the hallway and under the desk. The bed size was decent. Slippers and a hairdryer were provided, but no dental kit. My laundry dried overnight. The window offered a city view. The location is excellent, right in the CBD. It's an 8-10 minute walk straight ahead or left from the hotel entrance to Myeongdong's streets and alleys or Lotte Department Store, just two blocks down. There's a nice cafe downstairs open until 10:30 PM, and a Starbucks in the adjacent commercial building, though it closes earlier. If you turn right from the hotel entrance and walk straight for a hundred or two meters, you'll cross a small overpass connected to the street. Below the overpass is a small stream and greenery, a bit like Guangzhou's Liwan Stream. Turn left, cross the road, and walk straight, and you'll find many restaurants and cafes. There's a classic chicken sausage cheese spicy turkey noodle dish; the first few bites are really delicious, but it gets rich quickly. However, it's great value for money, with a large pot costing only about 160 RMB. The subway station is also nearby, with lines 3 and 4 not far away. All in all, the hotel offers decent value for money.

This is a comfortable business hotel under the Lotte brand. The location is great, with a subway entrance just a short walk downstairs, and Myeongdong's main shopping street is only a few minutes away on foot. There's a 7-Eleven on the ground floor, a GS25 convenience store nearby, and plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel's public areas are stylishly decorated, though the rooms are a bit standard, typical for a business hotel, but you can see the tall buildings of major companies through the glass windows. The front desk is on the second floor, where you can self-check-in and check-out. There's a self-service gym and laundry room on the third floor. The service from all departments was very warm and attentive.
