Grand House Shangrao

Shangrao Yuexi New Century Grand Hotel Kaiyuan was an absolute revelation! This Huizhou-style garden hotel, nestled at the foot of Lingshan Mountain, with its white walls, dark tiles, and quaint bridges over flowing streams, felt like stepping into a traditional Chinese ink painting. The lobby, a renovated ancient house, boasts old trees and bluestone slabs everywhere, creating an incredibly serene atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and elegant, furnished with wooden pieces and equipped with smart devices. The bedding is super soft, and you get stunning mountain views right from your window. The service was impeccable; the front desk staff were very welcoming, and the shuttle bus was always available on call. Breakfast offered authentic local specialties like Qianshan hot noodles and Dengzhan Guo, which were delicious. We also got to experience Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for free, and the courtyard was perfect for photos. Overall, it's a quiet and comfortable place that perfectly blends cultural charm with a relaxing holiday vibe. Highly recommend!

Shangrao is truly a clean and tidy city, and the Yuexi Tianyuan Guan Tang is like a secluded paradise. With its high walls and grand courtyards, nearby mountains, and community buildings with white walls and black tiles, ancient trees, tranquil bamboo, winding paths, and lush green lawns, the hotel feels serene and elegant after the rain, truly invigorating. Beyond its facilities, the service at this hotel is particularly noteworthy. In the parking area, you can choose between the above-ground or underground options based on your preference. Although the lobby is a bit far from the main entrance, the front desk service and shuttle bus are available on demand. Breakfast and dinner are incredibly rich and varied, with warm and friendly service. For check-out, you can simply leave your room card in the room and inform the front desk before driving off. It's an excellent hotel and a great tourist spot to visit.

The quality of Kaiyuan Guan Tang is consistently excellent; this large chain brand truly delivers. The hotel environment is fantastic, like a classical garden park where every step reveals a new beautiful scene. We parked at the main entrance, and the hotel arranged for a buggy to take us directly to our room. They also offer a Hanfu experience, which is perfect for photography enthusiasts. The service was outstanding. Upon signing up for membership, we immediately received extra breakfast vouchers and a complimentary upgrade to a family room. The room was incredibly spacious, and the facilities were quite new. The breakfast selection was plentiful, and the cakes and rice noodles were especially delicious. I want to give a special shout-out to Chen Yongman, the concierge at the front desk. He was incredibly kind and attentive, helping us retrieve an item our child had lost. This made the end of our trip feel exceptionally pleasant.

Looking to escape the crowds during Chinese New Year, I spontaneously booked a stay here with my parents and children. It turned out to be an excellent choice for a restful night. The hotel also offered many craft activities, which kept the kids entertained. When the staff learned we had missed the Ciba-making activity, they specially asked the kitchen to steam a new batch and arranged an extra session for us. The only slight disappointment was that the sky lanterns at night didn't have enough air and couldn't fly, which saddened the children a bit. Upon checkout, staff member Chen Yongman drove us in the shuttle to the lobby entrance for a photo, and then directly to the parking lot to help us with our luggage. We really appreciate his help.

Exceeded all expectations! Absolutely perfect. The Kaiyuan brand really delivers on service, which was completely fine. It's a pet-friendly hotel and they even provided a cute little hair clip for my dog, which was adorable. Buying a membership card to offset the pet cleaning fee was really good value. We were upgraded to a larger room because we needed an extra bed, and it was my first time staying in a hotel with such an ancient, elegant style. The whole hotel has a vintage vibe. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

Facilities: This hotel is incredibly well-equipped. Hygiene: The rooms are very tidy, and the entire area is spotlessly clean. Ambiance: From the moment you step in, you can tell this is a hotel with great style and character, boasting beautiful garden views. Service: The front desk staff and all the hotel personnel are very friendly. The shuttle service was incredibly prompt and the staff had excellent attitudes.

Pet-friendly and the breakfast was amazing! The grounds are beautiful, and they even have folk activities where you can try various crafts. The room was spacious and very clean, with a large balcony.

Got stuck in traffic, arrived at the hotel quite late. Master Liu Jianfeng was very enthusiastic and gave us some great recommendations. Since it was so late, we decided to eat at the hotel, and to our surprise, dinner was delicious! We practically licked our plates clean. The front desk staff, Yingying and Qiuqiu, were fantastic; they gave us two rooms and even complimentary breakfast. We're so grateful! This was just a stopover hotel, but it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise. Next time we have a chance, we'll definitely make a special trip to Shangrao to explore.
