The homestay is in the innermost part of Xiayanbei Village. It has its own parking lot. It is easy to find with the navigation. The homestay is surrounded by tea gardens, with a faint sound of birds, cicadas, and dogs. The small farmyard in Qingning is simple and natural, with beautiful mountains and clear waters. The boss helped us upgrade the three-story viewing suite for free, two rooms, two large beds, clean and tidy, fresh and elegant decoration, the sheets and quilts have a smell of sun exposure, soft and comfortable. Open the curtains and overlook the 19 peaks, with a panoramic view of the infinite scenery. Dinner was simply eaten at the homestay. The boss himself fished in the creek. After fried, it was golden and crispy and tasted excellent. The breakfast proprietress personally made poached egg stew dry noodles for us, as well as corn and blue plum, simple, nutritious and delicious! Very good stay for a trip!

The old local hotel in Xinchang is right at the entrance of the Big Buddha Temple Scenic Area. It is the best choice for visiting the Big Buddha Temple, but it is 2km away from the newly opened commercial district. Xinchang City is very small, so this distance is not a big deal. The hotel's facilities are outdated, and the entire interior style is the standard layout of earlier state-owned hotels. Fortunately, there is no musty smell, and the housekeeping department is very careful in cleaning. I especially took a picture of the hair dryer that used to be standard in hotels. It had that strong smell and it was really hard to blow dry your hair. The variety of breakfast is a bit monotonous, and the service attitude of the waiters is also that of a state-owned enterprise, which is quite satisfactory and has no characteristics. As a hotel in a scenic spot, it is also lackluster and has neither praise nor criticism.

In order to go to Guimen Genglou early the next Saturday, I drove south from Shanghai overnight the day before and stayed at this hotel. It only takes 3 minutes to get there after getting off the highway. It is very close to the highway toll station and very convenient. To be honest, I only knew Xinchang and Shengzhou before, but I had never heard of Ganlin Town. Fortunately, I did some research and found that the ”Liangtoumen Xiaolongbao” marked on the map before was in this town... Booked a double room with breakfast for just over 300 yuan. The Kaiyuan three-star hotel was OK. The room was very clean. The next day, I had breakfast in a Japanese restaurant. There was braised duck head in the freshly cooked noodle stall. It was not vague and generous!! There was also braised pork belly, which is highly recommended!! Even four-star hotels rarely provide it... But there is no freshly brewed coffee machine, which will be deducted... It's a pity The location of this hotel is similar to Shengzhou, located between Shanghai and Tiantai/Linhai/Taizhou/Wenzhou, 3 hours from Shanghai to here. Leave the day before and stay here for one night to get enough rest. You can enter the scenic area early the next morning and avoid some crowds...

Booked a twin room, there is a twin bed of 1.35 so I chose it. But it is a bit embarrassing for the open bathroom of a family with older children.
