Park View Hotel Singapore

We stayed here for 2 days. Upon arrival, we asked for assistance as we had 6 pieces of luggage and I recently had surgery, so I couldn’t carry much. The staff at the front desk was very rude, and I had to ask twice before being pointed to a trolley with no help offered. When we got to the room, we noticed it had two beds, even though our booking clearly stated a queen bed. When I went back to the reception, the staff simply said, “We thought you may like it.” Only after insisting did they change our room from the 2nd floor to the 6th floor, and we again had to manage all the luggage ourselves. On the positive side, the location is very good and convenient for exploring the city, and the breakfast was also enjoyable. Overall, the service was disappointing, but the location and breakfast were the highlights of our stay.

The place is good and room is comfortable. It near shopping mall and surrounding many restaurants for nice foods. Going to near by Merlion Park just 10 minutes by bus.

Let's start with positive first before I go to the negative points. The location is great and centralised. It's near the Bugis MRT and close to vibrant streets for food and dining. It is also close to shopping centres. Now the negatives: The staff lack a serious customer service skill. They seemed to be not happy with their job as if they live a miserable life. That's probably why they come across as rude. I think they should start looking for a job that suit them. I had to call housekeeping to have the toilet bowl cleaned as it was obviously not. While in Singapore for 6 days, I've developed skin rashes that looked so scary especially as I continue scratching them. I even woke up one morning with red rashed around my neck and my chest as I sleep on my side and cuddling a pillow close to my chest. My sister and I would suddenly have stuffy nose like being allergic to something which is weird as it only happened when in the room. One time, my sister dropped a coin that rolled under the bed. I went and checked to find it and I was shocked to find 2 inches of dust under the beds. They're light and easy to move to the other side so I'm not sure why they haven't cleaned the areas. I came back home and my skin rashes continued. I started feeling sick as well as running nose and chills. I've not had any dust bites so I have no clues as to whether these symptoms are related to it but one thing for sure, the room was super dusty especially when the air-conditioning is on and facing the window curtain (as my bed was next to the window). In spite of telling the housekeeping about the incident, I've not heard anything from the management. How disappointing to have ended up like this after the holiday in Singapore, where it is known for being strict to cleanliness. Very disappointed.

Extremely happy with the short weekend family getaway stay in this hotel in Singapore. Worthed the price booked for this hotel standard. No major complaints except soundproofing between rooms against adjacent units, probably due to not-so-thick walls between the rooms. Family room is comfortable enough for family of four due to 2 queen sized beds in ample sized room. Bathroom/ toilet are spacious enough but would be perfect if shower water pressure is stronger. Water heater and air conditioning are both good and operational well. Eventhough appearance looks abit old but it is well maintained, no doubt. Room is clean with housekeeping as well as counter reception service are both friendly and efficient. Lastly, hotel location is amazingly convenient for everything a family needs. Also, just a simple breakfast choices offered but the spreads are tasty, especially the fried instant noodles/ beehoon. Overall stay feedback - Satisfactory. Repeat stay will be highly considered. Two thumbs up.

A wonderful night in Bugis. Staffs are dedicated, very professional and thoughtful services provided as requested. Hotel is clean and has a pleasant fragrance. Located at a walking distance to City Hall and Bugis MRT stations. Blessed to be surrounded by all the BBQ, grills and deserts.

Booked for my cousins, and they liked the location. Nearby Bugis Mrt and walking distance to affordable food options. Room is big for the price range.
