Far too noisy,I was woken up constantly by people in other rooms all through both nights I stayed, which isn't ideal when your there for work and not a night on the drink.

we had a room on the second floor with a balcony but this was shared with 2 more rooms we were lucky as just 1 more couple sharing the balcony they left the next day after we arrived no breakfast and no cleaning fetch everything from reception tea coffee and loo rolls think 100 pound a night is a bit steep for what you get which is just a room

I was pleasantly surprised when arriving at the hotel after reading the reviews. I arrived early (11am) and was able to secure one of the three parking spaces. Although the front door to the hotel was locked, the rear reception was open and I was greeted by the owner, who was friendly and helpful. Although I couldn't check in early, he offered for me to leave my luggage in the secure office. I returned with the rest of my party later that afternoon and we were checked in quickly. I stayed in a triple room (one single and one twin). The room was clean, fresh clean bedding and towels with basic tea & coffee facilities, essential bathroom products and a tv. We also had access to a small shared balcony. A few small downsides were the curtains could have given better coverage, for a triple room we has a small bathroom whereas other members of our party who has a single room had a much larger bathroom (although still big enough for what we needed!) and I did hear other guests in the morning due to thin walls & laminate flooring rather than carpets. However, the owners were accommodating and helpful! Although there was no breakfast on offer for our stay (the new owners have recently taken on the hotel and are in the process of making improvements throughout) I was pleased to hear the kitchen would be open the following weekend, I am sure this will be a great addition to the hotel. Would happily return.

Reception area disgusting, stains all over the sofas, dirty floor, no refreshments or snacks like advertised. Receptionist playing on phone on arrival with feet up. Gets keys for 2 rooms located on different floors, first room dirty dirty and dirty. Broken bed literally rhe wooden headboard completely broke and not even attached, stains on sheets pillows had more lumps in than a gravy pot gone wrong. Beds awful and squeaky, clearly never tightened up. Shared balcony full of cigarette ends and one chair to share between 2 rooms. Mould all over rooms and visible dust and dirt. On moving furniture, there were clumps of dirt under them. Second bedroom, no toilet roll, broken light, broken window so didnt close so noisy all night and cold, not great when you have children with you. No lamp , no plugs no spare pillows, socks were black few. Walking on the floor, shower disgusting and tele no signal. All ended up staying in first room and trying to not let it ruin our short break away. So glad we was there for one night only, that was bad enough. No one on reception on leave to complain to, rang bell and nothing. Over all the place needs shutting down. Ive noticed the reviews all had replies saying we take feedback seriously well appears not at all. £290 for 2 rooms and I'm disgusted and would of never of paid that seeing how disgusting it was.

Where do I start myself and my partner came for two nights and that was enough. We were greeted by friendly lady which was lovely and welcoming. We went to our room and it was not to my cleaning standards the walls were filthy dirt marks the floor omg your feet stuck to floor it was sticky clearly not sweaped or mopped. The bathroom was okish needed a good dusting the toilet brush was . The wardrobe door was broken no handle the bed was uncomfortable and creaky the pillows were awful no firmness to them what so ever the towels smealt. You could hear every noise people made. We noticed top floor balcony was being fixed from what we could see a bodge job needs health and safety to check it out. The hotel could be really nice with right people running it the place needs shutting down one of the worst places we have stopped was glad to get home and scrub myself.

Extremely dirty throughout the building, Very run down, Our room had a good layer of dust/fluff bunnies under the bed, Filthy, stained pillows, a broken toilet seat, a kettle with old water and limescale, ,a dribble coming out of the tap when you used it, The walls, doors and ceiling were dirty/stained, One bedside table lamp for illumination, Dirty shower, missing bathroom mirror, Paid for two nights, but couldn't stay there, Payman don't want to know and even accuse of you of the damage/dirt! I'd still like my refund please?

No breakfast available. Shabby paintwork. Dirty creaking floor. Balcony needs paint and decking floor. Bed mattress was thin and rubbish. Dirty windows. Checking in was a nightmare. More like Falwty towers Hotel. Clean bathroom was the only good point. And Seaview. Very noisy customers. Don't go

Worse Hotel ever, make sure you read reviews No staff around to complain to, hotel room leaves a lot to be desired. Kettle full of scale, dirty walls, black and damaged carpet, don't bother complaining to payman who owns it or buyagift who you purchased off they don't want to know. Just choose somewhere else

The Grand Hotel Skegness is definitely not grand. When we arrived, we were asked to enter through the back door, we were told where our room was, and we let ourselves in, out side our room was dirty black carpet broken wall, it looked.like someone had kicked the wall , we went to make a cup of tea to find so much scale at the bottom of the kettle it could not be used, there was stains on the wall, went to complain no one around, entrance to the back was a trip hazard, got home complained to the hotel, payman who owns the hotel and buyagift who we purchased from, no one wanted to know, even though the bad reviews and pictures that guests have taken were clear to see, well this not so grand hotel will not be seeing us again.
