Stayed a few nights in July as part of vacation to St Johns. Pluses Close to airport and easy access Free parking onsite Room was overall clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Our room was ok overall. AC if anything was too cold and no issues. Quiet - there was a wedding reception the one night and didnt hear anything Nothing nearby to walk to. But not a long drive or cab ride to get downtown. For ballpark a cab to Quidi Vidi was only $15 one way. Multiple cabs waiting on site for fares if need a cab Cons Entrance has smoking on either side and multiple garbage pails between the sets of sliding doors. Pails always overflowing, cigarette butts overflowing and required walking through smoke in and out every time. Not a great first impression. Shower had lots of long hairs in it when arrived stuck to wall and soap bottles - cleaned up before spouse saw them. Out of body wash and had to ask for more. Coffee machine in room. Coffee replacement varied each day sometimes short on pods and other times short on creamer. Little thing but strange. There is a great coffee/chocolate place on a few blocks away that is worth the trip for morning java Balcony was grey dirty concrete with nothing to sit on. We went out to see it and didnt go out again. Good powerwash and couple of half decent patio chairs could make a difference. On site East Side Marios restaurant - closes at 10 and appears designed for meals only. Nowhere else nearby for late dinner and drinks just made last call on arrival for bite to eat. Kudos to staff for serving us with only 20 mins left in their day. Overall - it was an older Holiday Inn, fairlystandard/ basic overall but we just needed a place to sleep for few nights and was ok. Stayed downtown for other half of our trip and cost double per night

This hotel is ideally located just steps from nice cafes and the main downtown district while somehow being separate from any bustle. St. John’s is a very hilly city and this Sheraton is on top of a rise, so heading into the action is a downhill stroll. The rooms are comfortable, though many hotels in Newfoundland only offer rooms with two double beds instead of two queens, including this one, which was the main disappointment. The hotel lives up to Marriott standards, with attentive housekeeping and a great restaurant. Newfie hospitality was on full display, with the staff all being friendly and helpful, especially Ashley at the front desk and Jacquina (not sure if I spelled that right) at the restaurant. This is a good hotel to choose for your stay in St. John’s.
The DoubleTree Harbourview St. John’s welcomes you to the oldest city in North America. Our unique location on the Harbour makes us the ideal location to view the first sunrise in North America. The house is beautiful. Looking out the window is the harbor, and the sunset is hanging down at the end of the sky. This time I came to see a friend. He gave me a day or two to go to the far east of North America.

Our bus group stayed 4 nights at the Delta. My husband was not feeling well and just wanted to eat poached eggs and toast. The kitchen and servers were very accommodating. Peggy and Pauline who worked the breakfast buffet were phenomenal and I really appreciated their kindness. The other hotel staff was good too and despite the illness we had a good stay.

I really enjoyed the hotel! My room was very clean and spacious with top of the line amenities. Will definitely book again. The restaurant was ok, food was good.
Service was not great for the level of dining, no quality checking on food items and empty glass wear was left on the tables until end of meal. Will definitely book a room again just may choose to dine elsewhere.

Very loud and uncomfortable room blankets were scratchy and pillows deflate as soon as you lay down. Wifi requires a Hilton account and then payment otherwise bandwidth is capped and only useful for sending emails. When checking out the agent said no preauthorization was found, I was charged when I checked in, so I was charged twice and no one knows where the money is. Credit card company says it’s on hold with Hilton and Hilton says there’s no such charge/hold. So I’m out money until someone figures out where it went.

I booked this hotel by mistake, as I was looking for a hotel in Saint John, not St. John’s. Goes to show, make sure you don’t assume things. Also, don’t book hotels when you’re about to go to sleep and haven’t had good sleep for a couple of consecutive nights. Lesson learned.

GGuest UserI had an incident where the shower the first day was crap, so bad that we looked at other hotels to stay at right away. I made a slight comment to the made and she said I'll have maintenance look at it. Now, I fully expected to have to call down to the front desk when we got back from our day, then prepare to go else where when it wasn't fixed. However, after the one comment it was all taken care of by maintenance before we got back from the day. I never saw the maid again to say thank you but that was amazing customer service. If fact this boutique chain hotel exuded customer service. Everyone was nice and efficient, bar restaurant staff were helpful, knowledgeable and nice personable. They seem to love to go the extra mile. The food was basic in the hotel but very good. If they good get a lobster dish I bet more people would eat there, but really it was well attended. I am always happy when my impress of the hotel is changed. I love it. Nice clean and pleasant, what more can you ask for. Plus beds were really comfortable! Thank you for a great stay!
Well located. Upon entering the hotel, the first impression was that cleaning was not one of their top priorities. The hotel lobby windows were dirty, and there was garbage in the stairwells. Get to our room. Nice big rooms. Beds seemed like they were clean. The bathroom vanity wall was full of dry soap/toothpaste splatter. The shower had mold and mildew on the bottom tracks of the sliding doors and also on the grout and caulking. The closet door tracks were also very dirty. There definitely needs to be more effort into cleaning the rooms and the hotel. I would check out a Hilton for a few more bucks.
GGuest UserHad an overnight is Monastery Spa & Hotel. Checked in late, upgraded to whirlpool room, and enjoyed a couple of ***** Brewery sours while watching US Open conclusion from the whirlpool. Better than the club!!! Room was nice, large, clean with good space. Bathroom was tidy, should have two sinks with space. Shower was nice, hot with good water pressure. Plenty of clean towels. Bed was old; really. Badly need new mattress and bed springs (it is bowed). Staff is delightful; young, from all over and very attentive. Thank you. Breakfast was delightful. Enjoy.
