St. Lucia Wetlands Guest House

Very homely. Good professional service. Very friendly owners. Will deffinately Stay here again.

This is one of the best B & Bs we have stayed in in South Africa. We had a lovely spacious room overlooking the pool. The breakfast was excellent. But what sets it apart was the levels of service and communication. Colin and Natalie anticipated our every need from providing snorkels and an icebox for a trip to the cape to providing early morning coffee (5 am) and a generous packed breakfast when we visited a nearby Safari park. Just coming to the end of our 4 night stay at Wetlands and I can honestly say that we have not stayed at such welcoming guest house. Right from meeting Colin and Natalie nothing was to much to ask,giving lots of tips and local information.Our bedroom was spacious ,spotless and so comfortable.The lounge was inviting and the breakfast had everything you needed and so well presented . If you come to St Lucia you have to stay here you will not regret.

This was one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had, all thanks to our amazing hosts, Colin and Natalie! Colin anticipates your every need and makes everything effortless. The house is spotless, welcoming, and the bedrooms are spacious with incredibly comfortable beds. We absolutely loved the breakfast—fresh, varied, and delicious. The property is stunning, and the garden is beautifully maintained. We can’t wait to return to St. Lucia and stay here again. Thank you so much, Colin, see you soon!

We had a fantastic stay at this little guesthouse. Colin was a welcoming and helpful host with lots of local knowledge and recommendations. The room was spacious and immaculately clean and the breakfast taken on the outside balcony was outstanding. If you are coming to St Lucia don’t look at anywhere else to stay

This place was even more beautiful than in the pictures. I loved my room and balcony. There was a mosquito net and a separate dressing room. I had the room above the pool. The garden is beautiful and there is enough parking for the guests. The lounge/bar area is lovely. They have an honesty bar with complementary sherry for the guests. Breakfast was good. They washed everyone's car on the day I checked out which was a really nice surprise. I would definitely come back here if I return to St.Lucia. There were just a few tiny things for improvement. There was only one place in my room to charge my phone and Ipad being in the dressing room. There is no socket next to the bed nor in the bathroom. You needed to open the door using both hands. The dressing room only have net curtains so in the evening everyone can see you if they look up and inside.

There are so many positives to staying at St. Lucia Wetlands Guesthouse. They had the best breakfasts we had in our 5-week stay in SA. The garden is beautifully landscaped, and the entire guesthouse is tastefully decorated with interesting and unique items. Colin and Natalie are wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the area and gave valuable advice during our stay. They have thought of everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. For example, the room had plenty of space to store luggage out of the way. The bathroom had plenty of space to put your toiletries. The list goes on and on. The staff is remarkable, Clement even washed and vacuumed our car! The laundry service was also perfect. St. Lucia is a wonderful little town, walkable and safe with plenty to do. We spent six nights there which was good for us.

We felt so welcome! The host was incredible, breakfast was perfect! We have nothing but good things to say. From greeting us everyday, to a coolerbox with snorkling stuff we could borrow for the beach. Games in the lobby with our daughter, very family friendly! It is a lovely place I would highly recommend. Baie Dankie Colin!

After 3 disappointing (and worse) stays at various hotels in South Africa finally struck gold! Colin and his guest house are outstanding. From the booking (made directly with Colin) through to the welcome (early checkin accommodated - very good rather than ghastly welcome wine) through to the room and breakfast. Even the car got a wash. The quality and ambiance of this home away from home really stands out.
