On arrival there was a delay with checking in as my booking could not be found. I arrived 3 minutes before an online work commitment and was told it's up to me to call my agent because they did not have the booking, despite me being able to show a confirmation. Informed that I could not afford to spend 20 minutes on the phone with them. After a while they then realised another staff member already checked me in. I would imagine that staff is trained to first check all possible scenarios (arrival list, in house list, cancelled booking, no show, etc) before inconveniencing and worrying the guest. Stayed in room 229, large pink stain on the carpet, carpet is up for replacement. Bathroom was ok, but shower dial is loose. When changing temperature it takes 20 seconds for the change to pull through the shower head so for a first time guest was playing around with it and found it challenging to get the temperature I wanted. Showers in mens changing room in the pool need work. Silicone around shower entirely moulded. 80% of the lockers are out of action. Jacuzzi was not working. Bedside light bulb not working. Maid walked into my room a little after 9am. She has no right to enter print to my check out time. breakfast was so so. Asked for poached eggs. A plate with two watered down poached eggs arrived which tasted far too strongly like vinegar which was clearly used in the water to prepare them. No croissants, pain au chocolate or bread available for at least 5-10 minutes and despite 3 staff they only replenished when they were informed by guests and did not notice themselves.

Firstly our room was not a superior room but it was lovely. Large bed that was very comfortable the room was clean, if it hadn’t been I wouldn’t of stayed in there. There was plenty of space and enough drawers and hanging space to hang enough clothes for 4 nights. There were no glasses in the bathroom so we got some from reception who said they usually only leave them in a superior room (yes thought that was strange). My only complaint with the room was the WiFi which to be honest was pathetic. We were in Room 124 and had no WiFi at all. But it wasn’t much better in different areas of the hotel. As for food on our first morning there was only scrambled egg and no fried eggs, which was disappointing. After that there was fried eggs every morning with bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns. Unfortunately parts of the breakfast were usually cold such as the bacon. If the plates had been heated this would have helped. We only ate in the evening once and was disappointed so didn’t try it again. I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin steak - medium rare., with salad. The steak which arrived was definitely not 8 ounces (before cooking) more like 6 ounces. It was also cooked medium to well done. Chips had been on the menu but I was told I could have new potatoes, which I chose I did not expect them to be fried ! And as for the salad how on earth can a handful of lettuce be described as a salad? Hubby had fish (no idea what fish) and chips, which were frozen. So the one star was lost on the food. But I would certainly stay here again and will be when we return to Swindon next year.

My mother and I checked in to Jury's Hotel Swindon for what was to be a short two-day stay for a convention. Due to a medical emergency and then us both falling ill, our two day stay turned into a seven day one. Jury's became our home away from home and couldn't have been better. The staff were all extremely supportive and kind given our unfortunate situation. I didn't catch anyone's name, but I wanted to especially thank two members of staff who helped me with my mother when she fell very ill and needed to go to the emergency room. The two ladies went above and beyond their usual work duties without any hesitation. I owe them a huge debt of gratitude and I certainly hope their supervisors recognize the amazing staff they are so fortunate to have. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of Swindon, which is a charming town. Especially old town Swindon, just up the street from the hotel. It's centrally located on many major bus lines and is a short walk from the bus station. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was every meal we had from the restaurant. My only complaint is that the room did not have a mini-fridge or microwave, which would have been extremely convenient for us, but we were able to eat just fine between the food delivery apps available and the hotel restaurant. I wish every hotel was Jury's Inn Swindon caliber. Well done. 👏

Great hotel staff shame about outside. The noise at night was off putting with people racing cars around the car park opposite.

Held a Celebration of Life here - family gathering for about 40 people. Everything was just right. The staff were really helpful, both on the day and in helping with planning the event. The buffet lunch was really good quality, with plenty of food and a good range of options. The event space was ideal for us, with use of a separate side room, everything easily accessible for those with mobility issues, etc. We had folk travelling to the event from various directions, so the location just off the M4 was very handy. It's two minutes off the motorway but you feel like you are in the countryside. Some of the group stayed overnight and said the rooms were very comfortable.

When I booked the hotel, I wrote a parking lot. I didn’t go there. I have to pay another 9.5 pounds to the nearby parking lot. The service is not good. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 rooms. On the first night, we told the front desk that we wanted to change the second night. 1 is not changed.
