Holiday Inn Express SWINDON CITY CENTRE by IHG
"The rooms are always clean and the staff are helpful. I would like the breakfast to have a bit of a revamp but otherwise good."
DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon
"First impression is your last impression. We got here slightly earlier as we were passing by, having travelled several countries and all over the uk and having stayed at several actual Hilton hotels, this is by far the worst one. Rude Caucasian lady at the main reception, she will not consider even giving the room 5 minutes earlier from check in and starts ringing rooms at 11:40am to leave for check out, not what you expect with Hilton to be honest. Also asked her where the toilets were and she didn’t bother to respond to this, her attitude was poor and as if we committed a crime by coming earlier, we already had stuff booked for 3pm elsewhere so had no intention to stay or take the room straight away. But since passing by we thought we’d ask, did not expect a rude response and she even came across ******. Tried to cancel, apparently “Abby” said no. When we came later at night, a black lady at the main reception was very welcoming and helpful the Caucasian lady was not, she had tattoos if this helps identify her. Serious stern face as if she doesn’t want to be there. Room was clean. That’s about it. Location is rubbish. 3£ for parking not bad."
Travelodge Swindon
"The location is good and convenient. The room is clean and comfort."
Leonardo Hotel Swindon
"Cheap Clean Good location Close to town centre and train and bus station"
Premier Inn Swindon Town Centre
"Clean comfy and spacious, good location"
Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon
"A Comfortable Stay with a Few Surprises As one of Marriott’s brands, I expected a little more, but overall, the hotel delivers the essentials for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very spacious, with two double beds—perfect for a family holiday. The indoor pool and the gym is a nice touch, though it’s worth noting that external guests can also use it. Things to keep in mind: Parking – There’s a £7.50 per night charge, which feels a bit steep. The website mentions free parking for conference delegates, so it might be worth asking at check-in. Holding Charge – A £50 pre-authorisation is applied to your card. While common in some places, many UK chains no longer do this, so plan ahead if your card balance is tight. TV Experience – The TV system could use an upgrade. Menu and guide functions weren’t available, and picture quality was poor—even on HD channels. Room Details – The room was spotless, but we noticed condensation on the windows and a slight odd smell on arrival. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall: The hotel offers the comfort and space you’d expect from a reputable brand, but a few details—like parking, the TV system, and the holding charge—felt out of step with Marriott’s usual high standards. Still, if you’re looking for a clean, spacious room and good facilities, it’s a solid choice."
The Crown Inn
"This charming pub was located on a one way system with car park at the back. Location address should have been for car park - as I am disabled had to park mikes away and walk with bags. Booked in and went to room - nice room basic but adequate for my trip - advised would be leaving early each day. Came back after first night - no clean towels or servicing to room - this continued for whole trip , was expecting some service even if it was emptying rubbish and replenishment of toiletries and tea making facilities. As I arrived back late at night and left early on morning each day there was no means of communicating with main pub. Overall the experience was ok but some service would have made it better."
Chiseldon House Hotel
"Wonderful location and friendly staff; however, the way the property is maintained leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, cleanliness is quite poor. In one room we found mold inside the window frames; in another, a broken window pane; and there were numerous cobwebs throughout the house. The bathtubs are potentially dangerous due to the height difference between the floors, and the bathroom fixtures also show clear signs of age. The hairdryer is frankly ridiculous—it looks at least 30 years old. The food is underwhelming and nothing special; I would not recommend dining on site. We had high expectations, but they were all disappointed, and even the breakfast was not enjoyable. Our only thanks go to the staff, who were always attentive and helpful."
The Tawny Owl
"ALCON, I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge. Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,"

Village Hotel Swindon
"Food and drinks are the best of the area. There has inhouse swimming pool which is perfect in the winter."
Overtown Manor Bed and Breakfast
"Just attended a the most brilliant cooking course with Nancy at the beautiful Overtown Manor. The one day course was excellent. Nancy carefully goes through each recipe at a relaxed pace and encourages questions throughout the demonstrations. We were taught a lot of new recipes and it was great to try new things and techniques. We were able to pick our own vegetables from Nancy's extensive vegetable garden and were able to take what we cooked home. If you are looking for some cooking inspration I would highly recommend this course - Nancy is such a great host, cook and teacher and I can't wait to try out all the new recipes. Oh and an overnight stay is a must as Nancy's breakfast's are the best!"
The White Hart
"Near the road, the noise is loud, I dare not open the window!"
Swindon North
"Stayed with my son while on the way to a music festival. Great staff and hospitality, thanks to the team. Breakfast from the local pub also top notch."
The Kings Arms
"The location was good with good restaurants near by. The room was neat and clean, but was so compact. The breakfast was nice, but there wasn't much option, but good for the price."
The Churchill
"It was a great stay . Especially, I think breakfast should be added . The room was clean and the reception was very kind! It was a memorable experience ."
ibis budget Swindon Town Centre
"I would recommend the place to friends, and also suggest just maybe a small table or something for my belongings. The room only has a bed and tv"
Swindon Central
"Lovely clean, confidant room as good expect from Premier Inn. Friendly staff on reception. Quick check in and great breakfast at the Brewers Fayre next door. Would stay again. Good location for exploring the local area."
Stanton House Hotel
"Lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings, great beds and enough space in the room. This is my second time at this hotel and will definitely stay there again."
The White Hart, Wroughton
"Booked here as a convenient stop over for me and my adult son on our way to a special week end in London, fairly random choice based on location, half way between home and destination. But wow! It was absolutely wonderful, a 100% surprise and delight. Our rooms, supposedly ‘basic’ were fantastic, newly created, clean, comfortable, warm, quiet, spacious and with lots of little extra thoughtful touches to make them homely yet still sophisticated and luxurious. Even a flask of fresh milk for tea and coffee etc… lots of convenient parking; supper in the bar was first rate, ambience delightful, amazing breakfast included in the price, very VERY welcoming staff, the list goes on, and at £66 each per night, all included, well I was amazed and very happy. There seems to be a lot to do and see in the area and I will DEFINITELY go again. What a find! And in the end, the best part of a lovely week end. Faultless. "
High Life Luxury Serviced Apartments
The Goddard Arms
"Nice to go for drinks, nice bar staff, with nice seating , for food avoid! ‘Sad’ burnt sausages with some really thick instant gravy over some sort on instant mash and a chicken and bacon salad with loads of lettuce +++. The menu has changed and the food is bad, sorry guys.👎🏻👎🏻"
