Locality wise, Fabulous. Size of room, great. Amenities provided great. Pool was lovely. But the customer service at beginning and end along with the smell/cleanliness left alot to be desired. When we arrived, the office was closed despite being within displayed times on the door. We weren't given clear directions to the key safe for our room key, but after a walk around, managed to find it. As soon as we entered the lift to our floor, there was a damp smell as well as in the room. This stayed, enough that we got a plug in fragrance neutraliser for our stay. There was also obvious mould all in the shower, both on tiles and along the length of the screen door handles. The wifi regularly cut out and needed to be signed back into, given the duration of our stay it was very frustrating. After our departure, we realised we'd forgotten some things in our room fridge, whilst we can understand sometimes patrons may leave things for discarding- there were a number of large unused/unopened items that a courtesy call could have warranted. When called to ask, there wasn't even an attempt to confirm if still remaining or not. Disappointing stay given price and brand. Have stayed with many Mantra's in the past, will question in the future.

We stayed for a couple of days in 1401. It was nice but a bit dated. The photos didn’t fully match the room. It was a perfect location for us and the price was reasonable. The pools were good but no back jets on the spas just bubbles under you. Nice outdoor kitchen

Pros- location, room nicely appointed, access to pools and friendly staff cons- pool and spa dirty needed cleaning We mentioned it to reception and they told us it was to be cleaned that day and it never happened), too much light from external light coming into bedroom even with blind down, stained cushions on lounge and had to ask daily for toilet paper, detergent and fresh towels and stayed 3 nights.

Very dated, whole place needs a makeover. Uncomfortable furniture and dirty, carpets need either a good clean or replacing, also found the shower was slippery. No bathroom vanity drawers or cupboards and only one hook for hanging items in bathroom. Not a place to stay if you have knee problems as the only way in and out were by stairs.

Tiny room with no furniture except a lumpy queen bed. No bath. Right next to kids screaming in the swimming pool and no soundproofing. Still make you pay for wifi and even when you do it’s not enough to stream 1 TV show. Stay at a motel instead, don’t bother with this garbage place.

Great location in Port Douglas - we were here for a wedding and could walk everywhere, leaving the car in the car park. Spacious room, very well appointed, comfortable bed, all kitchen facilities and full sized fridge. The pool is very good, the BBQ area is excellent, you just need to be quick if you want to secure a spot. A great place to catch up with family if you are all staying in the hotel. Easy walk to all shops and restaurants. If I was booking again, I would ask Not to have a spa on my balcony.... takes up too much space, not much room to sit outside.

Excellent stay. Only weird part was that we checked out, then used the pool. When we walked back into reception, the bloke (assuming he was the manager) asked if we were staying at the property. But the girl that was there with him had just checked my partner out a couple hours prior. They didn’t seem busy at all. Just made us feel uncomfortable to say yeah, we were paid guests. Was an awkward end to what otherwise was an awesome stay. The room we got was absolutely wonderful. And our one-nighter (checking in Sat 27th Jan, checking out Sun 28th Jan) was very relaxing and just what we needed. The girl that checked us in was absolutely lovely.

Great location but bit of a lottery with room allocation. We had aircon problems which we eventually had recified and felt that furnishings, kitchen etc were okay but not so brilliant. Think the bathroom might have been upgraded but found the entire place a bit rambling. Big plus were the staff who were always friendly and helpful plus the location is really convenient. Not sure if units might be individually owned so guess its a lottery on room allocation. For location, hard to beat but hope for an upgraded room.

Excellent location for bars/restaurants. Useless lift does not give access to all floors, rooms at back of property are very noisy. Lorikeets will wake you all night and then freezer truck sits outside rear for an hour from about 5:45am, oh! and the only day we could lay in they had maintenance going on in room next door . Great if you dont like to sleep.
