My husband and I absolutely love Lancaster County and surrounding area and have stayed in several B&B's during the past few years. I recently made a "journey" to the area in memory of my husband and HAD to stay at the Artist Inn (for the 3rd time), as this was our favorite. Jan and Bruce are wonderful hosts and make you feel at home. Bruce, a fantastic artist, always has a joke and Jan is an artist in the kitchen! You can tell they love what they do and take pride in everything. There are always snacks and beverages available to their guests as well as a Keurig coffee maker. Jan's personal touches add to the homey feeling - homemade cookies in the cookie jar throughout the day, to homemade pieces of chocolate on a miniature tray on top of your bed in the evening. After experiencing several B&B's, we knew this was our favorite, and I had no doubt where I wanted to stay for this trip. Susan S. The grounds are beautiful with flowers and art. The house was very clean, and cozy, with lots of room. We spent a lot of time in the sunroom playing cards. The beds are wonderful in fact, one in our party slept so well that she ordered a new mattress on the way home! A stocked cookie jar with homemade chocolate chip cookies that were so good. Fresh eggs, bacon, homemade bread, a blueberry, lemon zucchini cake, and cereal for breakfast were placed in the refrigerator for us. Close to the sights and an outdoor space that was as relaxing as the indoors while hearing the clicking clack of the Amish buggies. Highly recommend for any type of getaway.

We decided to escape the hectic city life and get away for New Year's. Our mini get-a-way could not have been better! We stayed in the Cottage and our trip was fantastic. The cottage is beautiful, warm, with all the best amenities. The jacuzzi was the highlight of the stay. We also loved the fireplaces. The inn-keepers Jan and Bruce were very friendly and hospitable. Home-baked goodies were delicious. We also loved the horse drawn buggies outside, despite what others have said, it's very quiet and peaceful in the cottage, best sleep and rest ever! We can't wait to come back!

From the moment I called and spoke to Jan to make the reservation I knew this place would be perfect! She was so accommodating and cheerful! We stayed in the Olde Stone Cottage, it was so great, every room was roomy, the beds were so very comfortable! Jan decorated every room and it was a reflection of her - cheerful, bright and beautiful! Bruce added little touches with his autographed pics of famous actors and his very own books! He was so funny and easy to talk with. The two of them together are the perfect BNB owners! They go above and beyond to make your stay at their Home perfect!

The Sisters House was the perfect place for our family to come together! Bruce and Jan were incredible hosts. The welcoming touches of homemade cookies, breads and breakfast staples were so appreciated. The house was clean and the setting was quiet and quaint. The location was perfect for our antiquing activities. Great eats nearby!

Friendly and welcoming innkeepers make you feel right at home. Excellent food served with a smile! Homemade breakfast made with local fresh produce. location made it easy to get to anywhere you wanted to go. Bruce’s jokes were top notch! Would definitely recommend it!

If I could have rated this place higher than excellent I would have! The hosts were both friendly and informative. The breakfasts were magnificent! If you plan on visiting the Amish area of Pennsylvania, this is a must stop! I recommend that you check this place out!!!

The room was very comfortable with much character. We really enjoyed the information sheet in the room detailing the history of the inn and the antique pieces in the room. The hosts/innkeepers are a special couple who enjoy welcoming their guests to provide a memorable visit. This was our first visit and we met another couple who treat themselves to a visit on regular basis. We enjoyed wonderful 4 course breakfasts that would spoil a royal. Highly recommend this charming establishment.

When you book on line and base the choice on reviews of people you don';t know, well, it' an educated guess. We did just that with Artist's Inn and got totally lucky. It was excellent. We stayed in the Sophie side of the Sisters house and it was big, bright, comfortable and perfect for us. 3 bedrooms, two baths made it great. It was roomy, comfortable, well appointed, and like a mini home. It's not as close to downtown Lancaster as we thought, but that really didn't affect our enjoyment. The countryside is beautiful, and Terre Hill is small but quaint. We wanted to do antiquing in Adamstown etc and this is very convenient to all. We went into Lancaster several times, and that worked well too. We highly recommend this and found the hosts to be excellent. Like the old Burger King add said: try it, you'll like it!
