Change of travel plans meant that I needed to spend a night in Thessaloniki before returning home. It was a wonderful opportunity to spend more time in a city I have visited and enjoyed over many years. Today the city is much improved in terms of its environment, cultural life and the impact of many thousands of creative students. the position on the sea is superb and, altogether, this is a great place to visit. Set near the sea, just off Aristoteleous pedestrian street, is the MonAsty Hotel. It seemed fine for a night. What a delightful surprise this turned out to be! This hotel is a gem, at every level. The welcome was outstanding. Calm and efficient as well as friendly and exceptionally informative. All helped surprisingly by a nice welcome glass of prosecco. After check-in, a staff member accompanied me to the room. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed and quite luxurious. The design and ambience of everything in this hotel is top class. It has an understated elegance that enchants - with a quiet and serene air. After exploring the streets and cafés, i was able to come back and enjoy a cocktail in the charming and swish bar. An excellent night's sleep was followed by an excellent breakfast - with some of the best eggs benedict I have ever had. Wonderful and relaxing hotel. My only regret is that I only had one night. I look forward to returning one day.

Perfectly located, luxury, historic hotel in the centre of the City. Our good-sized room had coastal views, a supremely-comfortable bed and marble bathroom. Great wifi. Quiet. Stocked minibar : good to see that peculiar hotel Covid paranoia finally over. Coffee and tea- making facilities provided, though only instant coffee - which was disappointing, perhaps more standard in Greece? The buffet breakfast at the rooftop restaurant / bar was generous, varied and provided a spectacular visita to start the day. (Remember to ask for Americano rather than black coffee so you get a barrista beverage). Other guests: couples and adult groups of all ages and nationalities.

Lovely hotel, fantastic location! The hotel was very comfortable, the staff extremely friendly, helpful and eager to please. Any request was responded to immediately. Lots of little creature comforts. The room was spacious, the bathroom, albeit not appropriate for people that guard their privacy, was well-equipped. The location was walking distance to almost every site we wanted to see, every restaurant we visited, shopping, etc.

Not all five star hotels are created equal. This truth was evident from the moment I stepped into the hotel. Car parking - that will be 20 euro a night. Alternatives? No idea (turned out that you can park three blocks away for less than 10 euro a night depending on departure time next day). Room upgrade - impossible - I get that this isn't always possible but the delivery by staff is all important. The room - ok - nothing to write home about (shower leaked from the top - when I mentioned as I left no one seemed to care - which just about summed up my stay). The view - from the back side of the hotel - not worth the money. The breakfast - passible. All in all would I go back? Honestly no - I'd definitely look elsewhere.

The hotel is located in the most central location in Egnatia at the height of Aristotle. Nevertheless, it has very good sound insulation and sleeping is like sleeping in the countryside. Everything was at your feet. The room was suite 104. It was very comfortable, clean and modern, with a full minibar and lots of toiletries. I was given a 10 minute welcome massage as a gift which was amazing. Dimitris, who gave me the massage, showed me around the spa area, which I enjoyed, and suggested a facial treatment, which I did the next day and it really was amazing. Breakfast adequate. The staff is kind. My stay in Thessaloniki was made more beautiful by my stay at this hotel.

Not only they welcome us and our dogs with yummy treats when we arrived we walked into a fab room with a dog bed (per dog) which was definitely posher than ones we have at home 🐾 - Hotel: Super high ceiling elegantly, recently and brilliantly refurbished. Everything is brand new, super efficient and you definitely get more than you need 🥇 - Room: Well, from the quality of the materials, linens and so on our rooms had one of those showers you don’t want to walk out from 🔝 Overall we can’t wait to visit this favorite hotel and lovely city again 🤞🏩❤️

the service was okay. the people working in the hotel very kind and helpful . But , the hotel needs restoration . looks quite old, and dark. some things are broken etc . i stayed in this hotel also 2013 ... now it lookes much older and not so well maintained . Also the music in the breakfast room was too loud and not agreable stile for starting the day i would prefer something calmer . The breakfast was in general okay exept that i would prefer some more local , original Greek cheeses not these ordinary packed cheeses that are not Greek . Althought this horel is in best area , very central and the working people are very kind it has a dark impression to me , i would prefer to lighten up a bit the colours in the corridors to lift up the spirit . in the night there was also a lot of noise from some foreign customers and that was quite annoying . Thank you

13th October-16th October 2022 Room Number 415 The hotel is central and the staff helpful. Breakfast was nice and the location central. However this was overshadowed by the very poor state of the ”superior room ” we had requested and paid for. Given room 415 It was in a very very poor state of repair, The shower mixer tap was broken as was the tiling behind it. The Shower area was very badly painted as was the whole room with paint drips everywhere. The had basin had become detached from its marble work surface and was in an awful condition. It also had some very sharp edges on the underneath presumably for whatever fixing agent had been used to secure it The bedroom althclean again was let down by its overall poor state of repair and decoration. The wardrobes looked like a 2year old had painted them. The skirting boards where very badly scuff with paint removed in part. The decor was no existent. Had we not been with company who had personally recommended this hotel I would have made more of an issue at the the time, however to save them the embarrassment and anguish I chose not too. Hotel hidden in the alley. The room is relatively large, especially the bathroom, which is separate from the toilet. When you push the door, you can smell the faint scent of the bedding after washing. The operator’s design and decoration can be seen everywhere in the entire building. The breakfast exceeded expectations, and I was served with homemade rose sauce. The front desk is warm and friendly and provides all kinds of help and services at any time. A 10-minute walk from the central main street.

Very central location. From the airport bus stop ”Plateia Aristotelous” on Egnatia street next to the Bey Hamam it's just a 400 metre walk ever so slightly uphill that's easily navigable with a wheeled suitcase. Some of the upper-floor rooms have views of the Roman Agora archaeological site. We had a wonderful stay here. We first were on the upper floor but since there is no lift this became a bit burdensome. But the staff couldn't have been more helpful in finding us a different room for the rest of our stay and even carried our suitcases up and down the stairs for us. Even though the room was overlooking a cocktail bar we didn't have any major noise issues. All the staff members we interacted with were always helpful with smiles on their faces, providing us with great information and insight, and finally arranging for a taxi to the airport. Top tip: when you exit the hotel, turn right and walk uphill on that little street. At the top, turn right again and you'll find bakery Sarantis that sells excellent tiropitas and baklavas, perfect for breakfast.
