E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Reviews

The hotel is very conveniently located.The metro station is right next to the hotel. There are cafes, shops and restaurants all around. The train station is also very close. The room is very small. They clean well. I didn't like the breakfast at all-they provide a voucher for a cup of coffee and a plump cold sandwich. Choose the option without breakfast-for this money you can have breakfast in a cafe much better.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel, and as always, the front desk offers Chinese-speaking staff and excellent service. Getting around is super convenient; there's a Lawson convenience store right around the corner downstairs, and a 24-hour McDonald's across the street for those late-night cravings. I'll definitely be staying here again.

Excellent stay for couples! The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located right next to the station. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room had all the amenities we needed, and the area around the hotel had many convenience stores and restaurants.

Great location! The hotel is right next to a Lawson and Tully’s Coffee. Just note that the lobby is located on the 2nd floor. The rooms are compact and small, but very clean and tidy. While it is near the subway station, you have to walk down many flights of stairs to reach the train. Traveling by bus might be more convenient since the bus stop is right in front of the Lawson next door. Despite that, it's still an easy 5-8 minute walk to the main Shinjuku area. Overall, a clean and convenient place to stay!

It was incredibly noisy. Police cars and ambulances were wailing all night, every night. On the plus side, the location is very convenient. The subway station is right downstairs, and there are plenty of dining options like supermarkets, yakitori, and yakiniku, all of which are delicious.

The room is too small, very limited space even for 2 big luggage……but great location next to Entrance A Higashi Shinjuku Station.

Japanese hotels are generally small but well-equipped, and this one is no exception. The subway entrance is right outside, and it's about a 15-minute walk to Shinjuku Station. There's a supermarket downstairs, free luggage storage, and even Chinese-speaking staff. However, the soundproofing is really poor. Since modified cars are legal in Japan, I was frequently woken up in the middle of the night by cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.

Great Value Base Camp for Exploring Tokyo (5 Nights) Just back from 5 nights at E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku. If you want a clean, functional, and incredibly well-located place to sleep, this is it. The Best Part: The location is unbeatable. It’s a 1-minute walk to Higashi-Shinjuku Station (Oedo/Fukutoshin lines), making getting around effortless. Surrounded by convenience stores and right on the edge of the lively Kabukicho/Golden Gai area. The Room: Typical Tokyo small, but spotlessly clean and well-designed. Comfortable bed, good shower, and a handy fridge. Daily housekeeping was a nice touch. Free Wi-Fi worked fine for browsing. The Downsides: It can be noisy at night due to street traffic and sirens. Light sleepers will need earplugs. Rooms are snug, so don’t expect space to sprawl. Verdict: A perfect "home base" for a busy trip. Excellent value, great transport links, and all the essentials covered. Would stay again.

Basic hotel - no bells and whistles, but no complaints as well.

Stayed here for a night. The location is very convenient which is right next to the subway station A1 exit ( like 10 steps). Staffs are friendly and helpful, speak fluent English. The room is slightly smaller than the typical hotel room in city centre of Tokyo. The room is clean with no odour. Water pressure is good and water is warm enough but not sufficient for bath. We have the breakfast included which is to get from the next door coffee shop, pretty simple and can be order as to go. At night, the noise from emergency was loud and there were warning noise from the roadside. Would say this is an okay hotel if noise and size of the hotel doesn’t concern you.

As expected for Japan, the room was small, with little space to fully open luggage. The bathroom was also compact, and the bathtub was half-sized. This may be something to consider for travelers with large suitcases. The rapid train station is located in the next building, making it very easy to access fast connections.

Great location walking distance from Golden Gai and easy to get public transport to Shibuya and Harajuku. Small room but normal for Japan, clean, comfortable bed, good air con, friendly staff. Would recommend!
