Location is great. Customer service is just absolutely terrible. Accidentally booked our stay for 2025, realized immediately and tried to cancel. I admit we did not book with free cancellation but given the booking is 370 days away you would have thought a hotel could show some goodwill and issue a refund as they have no rooms available for the same price this year. They have refused to do so at every opportunity. I have been to this hotel before and can say that location is great, however I will refuse to come here again.

Ideal for a short stay. The hotel is unique and it is genuinely worth the effort of completing the uphill journey to reach its location.

We booked back in June to stay at this Paradore expecting a front facing view from one of the many rooms and suites. Unfortunately, this did not materialise as we were shoved in a backroom with a bedroom and sitting room overlooking the kitchens, satellite dishes and truck delivery area. The room smelled damp and musty, had not been aired properly and was very dark with mesh over the windows. It was also quite spooky owing to its position in the hotel. No view of the mountains whatsoever. We complained but were told the hotel was full and there were no other rooms available. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were damp and musty and the bedroom was most unwelcoming. The food wasn't bad, but the service was brusque and took a long time, mainly because there weren't enough staff. In the morning, breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Overall, the stunning location can't adequately offset this Paradore's shortcomings - it could do with a spruce up and an injection of charisma. As it is, it feels like a mountain refuge for walkers and climbers.

The area is simply stunningly beautiful. The reception staff pleasant and the suite, a little dark due to small windows, but very pleasant. The visit was spoilt by the catering. The barman was unhelpful, bordering rude and essentially unpleasant. We only drank there once. The evening meal was most disappointing. We were shown to our table, the menus dropped and the waiter promptly walked off. 15 minutes later a different waiter appeared and took our order. The staff were indifferent, totally unmotivated and exceptionally badly organised. There was no one in control. It was a long wait for everything and not remotely enjoyable. We did not take another evening meal. Breakfast was poor. The bread ran out, as did the cold meats, as did the hot water for tea making, the water and pods for the coffee machine. At the end of breakfast we were surrounded by uncleared tables. To get hot food you had to chase the waiter to order food. The bacon and eggs were dreadful and the scrambled eggs dry and unappetising. See photos. There is clearly no catering manager and the manager appears to be doing a poor job. We have stayed in 5 paradors on our holiday and all have been excellent but not Bielsa.

Stayed at the Bielsa Parador on an Odysseys tour for 2 nights. AMAZING! Historic hotel set in an incredibly beautiful spot! Public spaces felt like a nice lodge, with a cozy seating area and terrace (plus bar and dining room) on the second floor. The view was TO DIE FOR of Pyrenees mountains and probably 40 waterfalls. Sleeping room was rustic, but comfortable and well updated. Bed was good, plenty of storage and place to charge devices. Bathroom was wonderful with great lighting and was large and clean. Shower was excellent. Blackout drapes were good and the windows were lovely. Opening them gave you fresh air and sounds of the river and waterfalls. Such a gorgeous, natural spot! Only downside to the room was the wood floor creaked in a few spots. Dining room had good food for dinner. Breakfast buffet was slightly more limited than other hotels on our tour, and, unusually, the bread seemed stale. There is a cute bar as well. Wonderful location for outdoor activities and easy to check out picturesque nearby villages. Really a STUNNING place to stay.

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times now as it is an excellent base for walking in the area. Last September there were problems with the breakfast and the temperature of the rooms and this year, regrettably, the same issues exist. The rooms are cold and there was no heating system for the guest to control and the central heating was only on for a short time on one of 4 days and nights. Also, the bedding was inadequate considering the temperature of the rooms. The breakfast does not have any dried fruits, seeds etc. Also no prunes of allbran which many people like. The bread choice at breakfast is also very limited.

During the two days we stayed at the hotel ,the laundry operated every day for at least 12 hours , so that in fact we received half the value for our money and were required to pay 100% for a guest room that was only allowed to stay in for 50% of the stay. Now the important question is who compensates us for the serious damage we caused and for which we deserve a refund of 50% of the payment we paid for the guest room ???

It is a fine place, like the vast majority of paradores. However, there are several drawbacks with this particular one: (1) It needs a renovation. (2) Personnel at breakfast (in the restaurant I did not go at lunch or dinner time) is not very friendly and they are not enough to do the job. (3) Not additional benefits, like free activities with monitors (hiking), and not even available and visible maps for hiking routes, although they provide you with a list of possible activities before you arrive at the parador. (4) Bad smells (sewerage) at times. (5) Expensive.

The hotel is in an incredibly beautiful location. The rooms and service are lovely. The hotel is 3 star but not every 4 star hotel is as good. We stayed for one night and we think it was too little too late
