If you're looking for peace and quiet Canel is the perfect place. Very well maintained and in a beautiful setting. We rented the two bedroom ground floor gite - it had a terrace to the front and back, which was perfect to catch either morning or evening sun (or to avoid!) The kitchen was well equipped and we also had BBQ. Elsbeth was very helpful and friendly but never intrusive. The supermarket is a 10-15 minute drive away, there is a very small village you can walk to and a slightly larger town a 10 minute drive away.
