Hotels near International Village Mall in Vancouver

This was perfectly adequate for my one night stay prior to a cruise. The location is easily accessible from the train from the airport and less than a mile from the cruise terminal. It is no frills but clean. I had a shared bathroom which was a concern but it was fine. You share the bathroom with another room and you will hear them in there but, again, it was one night. There was a sink in the room which was good as you didn't need the bathroom for basic teeth brushing, etc. If I was doing an overnight in Vancouver again, I'd go back.

Location is across the bridge from the main tourist sites, but close to transportation which will get you downtown in a few minutes. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in the immediate area, which was all very safe and clean. Rooms were modern and very clean. Breakfast was decent, and staff very friendly and polite. I'd stay here again if I ever end up back in Vancouver.

It's very convenient to book this hotel in Vancouver. It's next to the University Center. Next to this hotel is Leap Canada attractions. It's really good to stay in this hotel for the second time

This time at Ctrip.com, this hotel first encountered the problem of Ctrip's promotion of Chinese services and found that there was no Chinese service at all. After communicating with Ctrip, it helped to provide a temporary solution. I did not expect that there was another unpleasant episode during the check-out at the hotel. After the check-in, the front desk did not take the initiative to give me an accommodation bill. To be honest, I did n’t remember to ask, or another guest found that his bill was wrong. It was there that I remembered that I should also take a look at my bill. As a result, there was an error in printing, and I charged 44.47 more for parking. I felt wrong even though my English was not good. They immediately took back the bill and tore it off. They recalculated and printed it out, and then came back. They only returned me 35 yuan and asked why it was not returned in full. Then the front desk tore the bill back again. Then recalculate and print it out correctly. I was very unhappy with their inattentive service. The end result was that they wrote this small note to me, and apologized and explained it. To be honest, I apologize for their apology. I really regret it. I booked this hotel on Ctrip. Ctrip introduced that there is Chinese service. In fact, they did not provide any Chinese service at all. The latter mistake led me to this so-called five-star Wedgewood leisure hotel with ancient European tradition Wedgewood Hotel feels very bad, this is the only regret in my Canadian trip [naughty]

Excellent downtown location. We stayed there for one night while attending a concert at BC Place (25min. walk). Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Food was fine. Room was very clean and updated. Would have been nicer if the coffee cups in the room were ceramic instead of paper.

They advertise their rooms as having air conditioning but this is not true as the room we were checked into had a evaporative air cooler. The cooling system in the room didn't work and they were completely aware of this but did not mention a single thing to us at check-in. We had to constantly fill the bucket from the air cooler with ice cold water in order to get any cool air in the room. They told us it should last 8 hours but the machine started beeping at 3:30am after we had just filled it with ice cold water right before bed. It's ridiculous to have to go fetch ice and change the water out in the middle of the night. We were told that they were fully booked and they couldn't move us. There were also lots of mosquitoes in the room - our best guess was that the big bucket of water from the machine made it a nice environment for them. The nights were hot, stuffy and annoying with the mosquitoes bothering us. We were not able to have a good nights sleep at all. The toilet and bathtub are also not renovated. The toilet seat was peeling and really disgusting. The bathtub does not drain well at all when you are showering. The room we were assigned was also right behind the elevators. Whenever the elevators were in use, we heard banging all the time - even in the middle of the night. We usually ask for a room away from the elevators but we haven't been able to access our rewards account to see if it's still noted despite asking for password reset help multiple times and having no response. Cleanliness was also a problem - the floors were sticky and they haven't cleaned under the sofabed in a long time. Housekeeping also asked us one morning if we needed our room cleaned and we declined. That night, we had a card slipped under our door indicating that they will do a wellness check within 24 hours since they haven't heard from us - we just spoke with them THAT morning. We've stayed here many times before and spoke highly of this hotel but we will no longer recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel. We were upgraded to a suite without asking! Everyone was very helpful, and breakfast! Great location. They arranged a taxi for us to go to BC FERRY. Told us approximately how long it would take. Even told us a few restaurants we were interested in. We would stay there again.

Hotel located near the metro and McDonalds, just opposite there is a mall and a chinese/international supermarket. There are also many restaurants in walking distance. The lobby, gym, and room are a little old but overall quite clean. Best part of the stay was the bed - super soft and comfortable! However, there wasn’t any amenities such as toothbrush, comb, or facial puffs (there wasn’t any in the room and we brought our own anyway so we didn’t ask for it). Hotel shuttle from the airport was late (we had to use the free call booth) but the departure to the airport was okay.

Thank you for the opportunity to describe my Inn at the Quay experience. I was booked for a day procedure at Royal Columbian Hospital at 6:00AM on Saturday May 20. Because I was travelling from out of town and had to be driven home (as a requirement of the procedure) I elected to travel by train to Vancouver and then New Westminster on the day before, Friday. On Tuesday May 16 I booked a room at your hotel for the night of the night of Friday May 19 for $389.00 ex-taxes. My plan was to take a cab to the Hospital and then my daughter was then going to drive to town to pick me up and drive me home after the procedure on Saturday. After travelling to New Westminster I had time to kill because I called the Inn at the Quay to see if I could get an early check in but was told that you were very busy and that was not possible. The hospital recommends attending with only your care card for security reasons. For this reason I had my BC Care Card and the credit card I used to book the room in my cellular phone case. During my wanders I lost my phone. Fortunately I had a significant amount of cash so I got a cab immediately and attended at your hotel. I explained my situation to the clerk on the desk and she said that she could not check me in without the credit card I used to book the room. I asked her if you would charge that card with the room price if I had not shown up and she agreed that that was the case. When I asked if she could just charge the card and let me stay she said that the situation was different and was against your policy. I questioned her further and she summoned a person form the back office who agreed that the situation was completely different and actually said “Sorry, we can’t help you.” When I suggested cancelling the credit card transaction and paying in cash that suggestion was also turned down. Reason was lost on these two minions that are trained to be slavishly obedient to your rules and policies. I am sure that if you question these two they will agree that I was polite and courteous throughout our encounter. After several attempts at circumventing their indifference I felt that I should leave before I started to get mad. As a competent, attentive and businesslike hotelier I am sure you are aware of the saturation in your market on any given day. If you harken back to May 19 you will recall that all of the other hotels in New Westminster and as far as Port Coquitlam were completely booked. No matter, I was able to avail myself of a comfortable chair in the admitting lobby of the Royal Columbian Hospital from 4:00PM on Friday until 6:00AM the following morning. Except of course when I had to leave the admitting lobby while the janitors polished the floors. Because the Emergency Room lobby was full I was able to meet some of the interesting local street residents that were outside at 2:30AM. Very good, I played it twice. The location of the hotel is quite good, only two stops from the airport. The security at night is very nice, and there is food downstairs, which is very convenient.
