Very friendly quick to get me In

Hotel is under new ownership. Renovating 1 rm at a time as I was told. We stayed 2 nights in a 2 bedroom loft. First night there was no cable connection nor internet connection for TV upstairs. There was no remote for bedroom TV downstairs. Couldn’t watch TV at all. Second night the front desk had dropped off remote and set up an internet connection for the TV’s. Drapes were torn. Couch had rips in the cushions. There were stains all on the floor. The tack ***** for the carpet was sticking up on the steps. Visible. Had we stepped on it, we would have gotten hurt and needed a tetnus shot for sure. Upstairs toilet sounded like a jackhammer as it filled after a flush. Bed upstairs needed new box springs. Every time someone rolled over it sounded like the bed was gonna come thru the ceiling and land on the bed downstairs. The continental breakfast was mostly a cold breakfast. i.e, yogurt, cereal etc. Complimentary coffee didn’t offer any creamer. I complained and received no $$ discount or anything. The explanation I was given was they were under new management and they just acquired the property less than 1 month prior. It was nothing like the website showed. Worst experience at a hotel. If you thought about staying here, I would see what renovations were done before hand.

This property is worn out, and poorly maintained. More lights were burned out than working. Heating system was loud. Part of lock for the door was broken and sitting next to the door, so all could see it. I would NOT recommend this place for security reasons. Plenty of other motels close. Cheap, but still not worth the price.

The room was really ran down my beds weren’t made, looked like someone had already slept in them, the kitchen was not very welcoming for cooking I didn’t even want to use the coffee pot. The floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed, I didn’t even want to take my shoes off after a 12 hour drive. The tables were dirty one of the TV’s didn’t work the cabinets were missing doors. I will never stay there at that location ever again.

I loved it. Definitely the best hotel for romantic getaway

The whole reason for our choice of this hotel was the breakfast option. Unfortunately the app said there was a hot breakfast available but the revelation was they did not. The booking said breakfast, but failed to mention 2 day old bananas and oranges with oatmeal packets - no milk, water, or microwave. Besides no breakfast, the room would’ve been ok if it weren’t for the ceiling leaking water in the shower of our room from above, or the mystery stain on the carpet. Or other potential water leaks from above. Not to mention the curtain chewed to bits. We survived. Please check rooms b4 signing in.

Nothing it had bed bugs we hecked out 4 daus early

Shower didn't work. Floor had carpet on it but hole underneath. Would not recommend to anyone.

Everything was good , dishes was dirty dishwasher barely cleaned

You do not disclose on booking that you charge an additional $100 “security deposit “ anywhere on you booking information,

I love Hawthorne, it's a quiet, off the beaten path yet close to the highway stay!

Had a nice spacious room, a unique set up compared to traditional hotels. No hot breakfast and no house keeping. Great location! Needed to be cleaner.

My bathtub wasn’t clean, the toilet clearly wasn’t clean- I could see residue on the seat. The couch was filthy and there was a dead roach on the tv stand. He had a long life ahead of him ):

As always...it was very pleasant & I know I'll stay there again.
