Super 8 by Wyndham Vicksburg

Pillows and beds are comfortable but bedding and towels were old scratchy and small. Amenities were on a par with Motel 6. Full breakfast is 1 granola bar and coffee only. It is a $40 hotel that charges $90. Location is excellent for The National Park though.

I booked the Vicksburg Super 8 around 3 hours before I got there, Midnight. It was about $70 for one night, Monday, July 23. The location is close to Interstate 20 and in proximity to several other budget hotels. The checkin was great, nice guy at the desk, well spoken, prepared and thorough. There is no elevator so I had to go up a flight of stairs, the stairwell needs some work, the carpet especially. The room was close to the stairs so my one night stay was relatively painless! The room was a typical budget product, nothing exceptional. I was annoyed at a lack of a cell phone charger port usually provided on the lamp or electrical socket. The room was not exactly super clean and the linen was getting worn. The TV was nice and the channel selection was excellent. The bathroom was fine, hot water, towels, soap etc. we're good. There is coffee and granola bars in the morning, no breakfast entrees. The coffee was not so great to me, but I'm picky about my coffee. Really I got a better deal in Meridian Mississippi 2 days earlier at the Motel 6 for $50. This Super 8 sort of reflects Vicksburg on general, run down, tired looking. Next time I'll head to Jackson or Meridian when I'm on my way through Mississippi.

The staff was alright and friendly but they were barefooted working and that's just not professional at all. They made our stay very welcoming though. I'll definitely stay again if it comes down to it

The room was pretty clean and beds were comfy considering the price (reasonably priced). Breakfast was only a muffin and coffee (we didn't have the coffee, so can't rate that but muffins were fine). Staff were friendly as well.

The bed was a full size, I booked a queen. No coffee pot in room but it is available in the breakfast area (no breakfast, just packaged muffins. I didn't like the soft pillows, I can never remember to bring my own. A/C worked great on high but was noisy on low. It was quiet at night, we were on the ground floor. Never heard doors slamming, kids running, none of that We slept good both nights. My only major complaint is the slippery bathtub. Be careful getting in, while in and getting out. We would stay here again but not if we have a little bed. Thank you

Older hotel, nothing fancy but decent enough for a night's sleep. Breakfast was a packaged nutri-grain bar or danish. No coffee in room but was available in the lobby. Front desk staff was very nice. No elevator. Didn't matter to me but good to know for those who need it.
